I think Trewlaney kind of proved herself at the end when she participated in the Battle of Hogwarts. It showed her bravery. She also was truly passionate about Divination. Even though she wasn’t an amazing seer and a lot of people thought the subject was silly, she made one of the most important prophecies of all time. She also was a good teacher to her students that actually liked her subject, such as Lavender Brown.

I think the only problem with Sybil is that unfortunately for her, her predictions were not always instantaneous. Poor thing. She was accurate it's just the timing. Like the one where Minerva was like she predicted the death of so many students who died but none did.....oh wait the war at Hogwarts.

@chinmayee83716 жыл бұрын
hotelstlry 123456789 he did not have a soul left to split anymore.
@bghiggy6 жыл бұрын
He doesn't get the parts of his soul back after the horcrux is destroyed. By the final battle voldemort had only 1.5% of his soul left. Splitting it again could have easily put him back into the spectral parasitic form he was in after trying to kill Harry the first time

@carloswilson6716 жыл бұрын
ERK They would be interesting. In some fanfics Dolohov has a Squib half-brother. He is his parents literal son while Dolohov was a step brother, If this is the case Dolohov may not be a real Dolohov at all. Dolohov is a Russian name so Dolohov may be Russian. I believe he or his father was a Grindelwald minion. He caused Harry sadness by killing Lupin. Yaxley caused the golden trio grief by hitching a ride to number 12 Grimmauld Place in London.

I’ve always wondered about Seers. Can muggleborns be seers? How does one know that they are a seer. What is the history behind them?
@arcanewarrior8636 жыл бұрын
Morgan C I believe all wizards have a certain degree of seer ability, Harry and Ron made accurate predictions after all, one being half blood and one being pure blood. Hermione's lack or seer ability was more to do with her personality, she struggles to clear her mind, always going with logic instead of her gut feeling, and was therefore better at Arithmancy, the art of predicting the future using numbers,Zod whiches on logic and statistics. one knows they are a seer when they find predictions they make come true, kinda obvious. Seers have made predictions for the Ministry for years
@carloswilson6716 жыл бұрын

I think its interesting that her ancestor's name was Cassandra bc in Greek mythology, Apollo cursed Cassandra to be able to see the future, but no one would ever believe her prophecies. I think Trelawney may have this same "curse" because no one really takes her seriously throughout the books despite often making accurate predicitons, (lavender's rabbit, harry potter being the chosen one, umbridge's attack at the end of the year, Dumbledore's death, etc.) Idk just am interesting thought i had. :)

Wizards are natural show-offs, put a group of them together and it won't be long before they start comparing the size of their wands (though truthfully there are plenty of muggles who are the same), as a result they tend to put more theatrics into what they do than need to, making their spells and works more impressive-looking than what it actually is, and they've been doing it so long that it's pretty much become second nature to them (probably a good thing though, as powerful as magic is it could be even more dangerous if wizards actually realized it's easier to do than they think). And when it comes to Theatrics no one is more obsessed with it than Trelawney, she's obsessed with the baubles and accoutrements, the jewelry and shawls, tea leaves and crystals and nose-breaking incense, in appearing to be a mysterious mystical seer than just being a seer, so that the theatrics are getting in the way of her actual skill, putting too much effort in trying to see when all she really has to do is just open her "eyes" and see. Simply put, in the words of another great mystic and seer: Try not, do or do not, there is no Try.

Deano...buddy...we gotta do something about the placement of these ads man. You most definitely deserve payment for the TONS of work that goes in to making these videos, I’m not disputing that. However the way these ads are placed is a bit distracting. Which makes it hard for even a long time subscriber like myself to pay attention or stay on track. It kinda dulls the story you’re telling at times. But as always the content itself is great and keep up the great work
