I don't think he deserved to be outed. He was acting in fear and desperation to protect Luna. I am not a parent but I am sure that that is what any parent would do to make sure that their child is safe and unharmed.

Amazing video, Mr. Folklore! I really think Xenophillius shouldn't have been outted after betraying Harry. If I had a child, I would do anything to make sure that they were safe and healthy and protected even if it meant betraying some of my closest friends (though not long after I would feel super bad of course but know that it was necessary to me lol). :)

do we have any idea what it was that Pandora was experimenting on that took her life? As for whether or not Xenophilius should have been held accountable for his betrayal, even if his motivations were selfless, collaborating with an oppressor is still a crime and we ought not edit a historical record simply because the truth is painful and ugly. His betrayal did not lead to Harry's capture but it easily could have, though I feel since he was imprisoned by Voldemort's regime anyway that his betrayal could have been disclosed without requiring further imprisonment (the legal concept of "time served") another excellent piece of content, thank you sir :)

I don't think that he should have been outted since he did betray Harry in order to get Luna back. Luna was the only family that he had at that time and was reminder of his late wife which would devastate him if Luna was killed or severely injured. His fascination with the Deathly Hallows was probably an interest in being reunited with his dead wife.

Xenophilius was only doing those actions out of a father's love for his daughter. He was put into a very upsetting and torturous situation that was likely not an easy decision to come to. I have always forgiven him, as you could also tell how remorseful he was during that scene.
