I find the sunken earth theory fascinating as well. It basically goes with the "I Remember" ending with the "You've always been here" which is fan theory that either the old earth actually sunk during the 1976 mirror incident creating one over top of the other or that it all turned to energy. What I think what was beyond the pitfall carpet section was "outside" probably. This is Kane's backroom and not the creepy pasta so you shouldn't suddenly end up in a amusement park or something.

Nice! The current hypothesis for Ediacaran ecosystems (before the Cambrian explosion in hard body parts) is that the sea floor was covered in bacterial biofilm mats a few mm to several centimetres deep, and the Ediacaran life forms currently known from their impression fossils rooted through those mats. As animals evolved from tiny, tiny burrowing wormy things into slightly larger wormy things they may have disrupted those bacterial mats and helped destabilise and wipe out the Ediacaran biota.

I have a mild hypothesis I’ve posted elsewhere about the instabilities caused by the A-Sync experiments. The foundation of the idea is if you think of normal reality as air, on top of a layer of water, then the water is the Backrooms. We humans are insects flying around the air. Normally insects get stuck at the surface tension layer between the air and water if an insect was to fall into the water. Usually preventing the insect from going into the water(Backrooms). Gravity being a thing, the insect would either stay at the boundary layer or sink down into the water drowning. What A-Sync has done is create a siphon by punching a hole in the inter-dimensional water container, below the natural water level. Creating whirlpools on the waters surface, sucking things on the surface of the water deep underwater along with a twisted column of air(reality). Thats what people explore, that twisted column of reality created by an inter-dimensional whirlpool. Thats also why one of the only exist to the real world is back through the A-Sync facility portal. Because that’s where everything flows. This is partially based off of A-Sync Research’s No Escape film.

I think that the autopsy report wasn't showing us a lifeform in the process of it being made, but rather that was a "Still life" in the process of being born, note how the humanoid in FF3 has that same weird color scheme that the autopsy corpse had and the same malformed design. As a result, I don't think lifeforms are amalgamations of people who die (they seem to be the "Still life" instead), rather some kinda fungal organism thats made when it digests a corpse, similar to a mushroom, as there's a difference in growth environment, the corpse in Missing persons had the bacteria film all over the walls, and parts of the body remained undecayed despite other parts being devoured, almost like the preserved parts were like a *Still life*, not to mention that the Still life and the corpse discovered both share a similar "malformed" look, as well as a similar white/black moldy design in contrast to the lifeforms fully black spindly design. Also oddly enough, the only time we actually saw a lifeform actually connected to its environment was in FF2, and it seems to grow out of the weird fungal roots that occur, as well as the body just... not being present at all, it's form literally seemed to just be created on the spot by the rooted environment (note how its upper half literally spins 180 to connect to the lower half), unlike the autopsy and the Still life in FF3 which seemed to at least preserve the basic form of the body, as well as the Still life's "lair" being just a normal area with a bit of goop on the walls and what seemed to be a corpse in the corner. Also thought mention that the coughs seem to only happen in the enocunters with the lifeform, not the still life, if we go off the idea that its a fungus, then that potentially means that the people coughing arent getting irritated by bacteria, but fungi actively pouring out spores, which means the grown requirement is dependant on if a corpse gets consumed by their own bacteria, or by a spore. I do feel like in general there's been a lot of red harrings tossed out by kane to keep us in the dark as to how everything actually works, but I feel as though separating the still life and lifeform helps connects the dots better, as for the idea of the lifeform being a fungus instead, I feel like its hinted at due to missing persons having the researchers ask a passing question if its a fungi, alongside the fact that the bacteria is the only known creature in that moment, but then it blind-sides us with the autopsy report and saying its bacterial, but since the still life nor the "fungal roots" from 2 or 3 weren't shown, we essentially get tricked into thinking the lifeform is bacterial.

Can't watch the entire video due to lack of free time but my take on it is that the backrooms is by default a shapeless dimension they discovered that works on the principle of gradually transfiguring itself into something familiar to people o a specific person that was unfortunate to end up in it, so in other words the environment takes shape of people's memories. I've seen similiar theories posted around reddit and discord so I can't take credit for that but this is what makes most sense to me. I believe in Kane's genius way of storytelling and he won't go for anything cheap. Like I said can't watch the whole video but I bet you came to the same conclusion as me that the green glow behind the famous door or any green light for that matter is the phenomenon of backrooms expanding / chaging. Kane said in one of the interviews, don't remember which one specifically, that what that guy in Pitfalls saw was time sensitive so that would fit the description perfectly. He told Marvin to come quickly so that's why I think he was there as it was happening. What's more, the same principle applies to lifeforms. Again, Kane said once that the whole place works based on strictly specified rules that are not currently revelaled. I think the previous paragraph roughly explains it but the same principle applies to lifeforms. In my view - lifeforms are something like an echo of people who died in there. Their physical form consists of bacteria that the dimension uses to create some resemblence of a human being while their mind is the memory of that person which is now trapped in there forever, condemned to wandering these empty halls for all eternity. They run at the cameraman screaming in hope for them to free them from this prison. And last but not least there's the plot of Ivan Beck who according to Kane is the true main character of the series. In my opinion and many others the series will eventually take turn to make certain plot points personal to really flesh out his persona and get him more involved into the plot. That said I'm really skeptikal that Ivan launched this project in order to acoomodate the needs of humanity for more space. He most likely has some personal motive to explore this otherworldly space. Why - we will find out sooner or later.

I believe that the properties of the backrooms is simply a product of the way in which A-SYNC decided to “generate” them. If the machine were given examples of “reality”, mainly examples of human architecture, and was then told to expand into this extra-dimensional space, it will generate an approximation of reality. Whichever process A-SYNC used to approximate human architecture must have also generated an approximation of biology

First off, this video is so well made that I watched it for 45 minutes before realizing it was an hour long, at which point I thought I'd only been watching for maybe 10 minutes because I was so enthralled. I only had this realization because I paused it to draft this comment without missing anything. Awesome work! I had come to the conclusion the lifeforms were somehow mimicking people lost to the backrooms, but it never dawned on me that this is because they grew from the remains. Previously I suspected these lifeforms had existed in the Backrooms from day one as a result of some kind of Backrooms physics magic resulting from bacteria being "reflected" into the Complex (that is, to me the Complex seems to be sort of a distorted reflection of this reality and the architecture in it), and that they had merely learned to mimic people they had interacted with, but admittedly in retrospect makes no sense because there are no other forms of life nor anything else organic at all present in this reflection that is the Complex. Your theory and the connections you've made to support it make a lot more sense, so kudos to you for that as well as breaking it down for others in such an effective and entertaining way. I had suspected the green light was somehow the "edges" of the Complex - where the reality that exists there is unstable and in a state of flux where it is actively being created and/or destroyed, and had based this off the fact that the room the camera operator is standing in at the end of Found Footage 2 seems to be decaying as the cracks form on the walls and the green light overtakes the room. However, since the Complex seems to be nearly endless, once again that doesn't really make sense in retrospect. I think that maybe my favorite part about your very rational explanation of the green light is that it might imply it is possible the camera operator could have escaped at the end of the video (😭), granted where exactly she would end up is a complete unknown. The connection to the Sun with the solar flares contributing to the success of the experiments is also very interesting, and something I hadn't even started to piece together although clearly the pieces are there. On a less Backrooms related note, thank you for teaching me the word dyscalculia - I never knew there was a word for this phenomenon despite that it also plagues me intermittently. (I think mostly when trying to do multiplication or division operations in my head.) Finally, props to Pyrodime on Reddit for leading me here by recommending your video in a comment on "What is the green light?" posted to the KanePixelsBackrooms sub four days ago. I hope it leads even more people here and your channel gets the attention it truly deserves.

33:00 This made my jaw drop BUT IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. Loving this theory so far, great work. Any change you'll do an updated video for FF3?

Lifeform just like me for real 😭 On a real note though, love this genuinely. Only 15 minutes in and this is helping me grasp this kinda stuff better than I could before with like any other kind of "The Mysteries of Kane's Backrooms" type video than ever before, so thanks!!!!!

20:21 it's less unsettling when you realise it's a lot like those old cartoon gags where a character hides behind a corner and only sticks out sexily posed one leg to distract evil henchmen

7:36 If im correct he used a Rokoko motion tracking suit for that

yes!!! When i saw the suit in the description, my jaw actually dropped because I never would have considered that he actually mocapped himself for his video. Dude is super invested and creative

incredible video! Expanded on my own theories which was affirming to myself as well as had reasonable explanations rather than my pure speculation. As you're clearly a small channel, I really would like to comment on the production value in this, its great. Plus, your writing is very cohesive and followable, though i did get a bit lost in the electromagnetic stuff but that is probably because im learning about that in physics right now and my i do not want to hear it. But regardless of that, I can see you growing plenty in the future and i can't wait to see that

side note: i think you should redo the thumbnail, its not very eye catching and the text is quite hard to read. maybe just copy what barely sociable does. it might work for this kinda thing

LOL I can imagine the way your face probably fell when i said "electromagnetic spectrum" nah but I do appreciate that so much!! And thank you for the feedback on the thumbnail! Truthfully I had no idea what to for it but I will absolutely revisit it :D

The huge solar storms happening recently would be the perfect time to access The Backrooms. Coincidentally, the real-life location where the first Backrooms photo was taken was discovered very recently.... Synchronicity can be pretty scary, sometimes....

OOOO I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! Great job on the theory!!! More food for thought to expand/add to the infection theory!: In found footage 3, we mayhaps see a more primitive version of the lifeform (with it potentially being a recently infected human) ((and my personal theory on that is that it was the father at the end of the video because their voice sounds oddly similar) My proposed reason why Ravi (the found footage 3 protagonist) doesn't cough at all in that video is probably because the body was at the early stages of mutation, and my theory is that the more the lifeform furthers down its lifecycle, the more it has the ability to spread airborne spores

I came expecting a fun theory about the backrooms. I left with that and a better biology lecture than I ever got at school.

The magnetic distortion system feels like repetitively blasting high energy waves, on and off at high frequencies, which is why it makes the clicks.
@LittleRedSM3 ай бұрын
So if my thinking is correct, it could be a rudimentary version of a radiofrequency generator which like you said, would explain the clicking as it boots up and the sound it makes when it shuts down. Of course, we see a lot more of these and in much more advanced forms by the time First Contact comes around.
