The Light of Alita

"The Light of Alita"
(Verse 1)
On a storm-swept night, fierce waves collide,
Under a sky of blackened pride,
There stands a tower, cold and bright,
Its beacon cleaving through the night.
Far from shore, a ship is tossed,
A Spanish galleon, adrift and lost,
And in its hold, a weary crew-
With hearts like stones, and skin turned blue.
(Chorus)
Alita waits on the desolate shore,
With prayers cast up, forevermore,
She whispers to winds, her voice entwined,
In the beam of light, across the brine.
To guide her Calle safely home,
From treacherous seas and ancient foam.
(Verse 2)
In her small hands, a candle’s flame,
Like a soul’s resolve, it bears his name.
She knows this light, from distant lands,
Will bridge the gulf, where fate demands.
Her song drifts out, a haunting plea,
To the gods who govern land and sea-
"Protect him, guide him through the squall,
And bring him back to me, my all."
(Chorus)
Alita waits on the desolate shore,
With prayers cast up, forevermore,
A love undimmed, though oceans wide,
An invisible bond they cannot hide.
The lighthouse beams, a silent vow,
To someday join them-somehow, somehow.
(Bridge)
In the captain’s eyes, a moment of dread,
As rocks rise dark where once stars led.
Yet through the tempest’s ravenous claim,
A distant light calls out his name.
Guided by grace, by force unseen,
Through shadowed cliffs, so close, so keen,
The ship drifts free, by fate’s design,
Escaping death on that fateful line.
(Verse 3)
Alita feels the pull, the tide,
Of longing kept, of fears denied,
And in that flash, she knows he lives-
The ocean spared, her promise gives.
A tale untold, a journey bound,
By love’s bright light and hollow sound,
She waits alone, yet knows it true-
Across that dark, he feels it too.
(Chorus)
Alita stands on the desolate shore,
Her prayers now woven with legends’ lore,
Bound to Calle, the wandering wave,
To guide him safe, beyond the grave.
In lighthouse light, their spirits dance,
Forever caught in love’s expanse.
(Outro)
And so the lighthouse glows each night,
A symbol cast in endless fight-
Of love that waits, and calls, and yearns,
And of a soul that still returns.
Through storm and dark, through fog and foam,
Guided by light...he finds his way home.
