The aim is that Harry is a normal citizen. And never used a gun. So that is why the developers made that he sometimes mis.

​@LIZZgame you actually have near total control over it. You have to be strategic about it. Line up the shot, make sure you're locked on and fire steadily, not rapidly. You'll hit far more that way. If you aim and immediately unload a magazine, you'll miss far more often. Since the game is flush with ammo, I'd say it's a good risk/reward element to the firearms.

The best part of this playthrough was Harry killing that bug that came out of Cybil lol. This game and RE3 were popular when I graduated from high school 25 years ago. Lisa sounds like Winona Ryder.

Hey Lizz, i took the game over my friend house and he didn't understand the puzzle either then his uncle came downstairs like what yall and he was like oh those are zodiac symbols we looked at him like whats that then he explained it to us and solve the puzzle & we learned something new that day.

SH4 is on GOG for some reason. But it's different from SH1-SH3 because it was originally supposed to be a spin-off and it was developed in parallel with SH3 which the "more important" people from the team were focusing on. Apparently, Konami lost the source codes of SH1-SH3 so they can't re-release them.

Some of these games have Alternate endings and the one you get depends on how you play so if you don't want to keep playing the game again and again until you get every ending maybe you could watch all the endings on KZbin after you finish

04:45 Sometimes, in these old games, guns don't reach too much distance. In this game in particular, the enemies have to be very close for the bullets to hit (or maybe for the character to aim). I imagine it's just the low tech from those times.

Low tech? Dude Harry misses those shoots because he is a civil who has never used a gun before. (And no, that's not "my opinion" that's from the developers interviews back in the day)

@@TrueSkullLeader Ok, i didn't know that the devs said that, but you can't say that it isn't logical to think it is because of low tech. First of all, they used some other tricks to limit the render of terrain, so it's logical to think they did the same thing for the combat mechanics. Second, even if you're a civilian, pointing a gun and hiting a target at 10 meters shouldn't be impossible. Third, he haven't used a gun before, but he surely knows the basics of a sewed-off shotgun and a hunting rifle as well. Wether the devs declared that, because they wanted to justify something technical, or because they intended it to be realistic, they can also fail at that intention. And it's ok, they made a terrific game anyway.

Ich fand, diese böse Version von den Gebäuden war teilweise zu viel vom selben. Und nie ergab irgendwas wirklich Sinn. Wie Resident Evil nur ohne Realismus und Logik. ^^ Das Spiel versucht einen nur zu verwirren, gibt einem aber nie Antworten. (Nichtsdestotrotz mag ich das Spiel und es hat mir auch Spaß gemacht, es damals durchzuzocken)

The game lags because you are using an emulator that emulates the PS1 very accurately, perhaps you can configure the emulator and remove these lags.
