1. Because of the Blue Hearts song "Linda Linda" (they play a cover, in Japanese) 2. Because of the film 3. Because "linda" is a Spanish word ("pretty"), and they are a half-Hispanic group.

Since Found A Job is my all-time favorite TH track, I would always be very critical of any cover version, as nobody can repeat that high-strung, nervous twitchy original of David, Chris, Jerry and Tina. They did a marvelously tight track, and that was it. Here, it is OK, but not more than just OK. It is my opinion. The final solo is lovely, though.

Great DNA in this band. They were once introduced by Gina Schock for doing an excellent cover of the GoGo's "Tonight". (funny that they didn't perform "Tonight" on the Tonight Show) Talking Heads was the greatest art band of all time, so it's interesting that they incorporated that band's funk sound (they're byrning up the stage). My understanding is that they're childhood friends whose parents realized they were pretty good and started touring them in SoCal. I'm mad at myself for not going to their show in San Diego.

Is everyone here unaware of how common it is for bands, when they're playing music live that requires a more hands than the band has got, to have extra musicians onstage? Like, you know, The Talking Heads did once they could afford it?
@roamlikekane5 ай бұрын
It's the tonight's show's band or half of them along with Lucia and Mila's dad on bongos. Btw, he's a famous music producer in LA who produced amongst other bands Ms. Haley William's Paramore albums. So it was natural for the Linda Lindas to go on tour with Paramore last year. Obviously he's also producing his daughters' band too. He's been on the road with the Linda Lindas this year managing them and even performing with them on stage.

He's one who proves how much can have a daily good show and guests, without depending all the time on politics. He was also my youngest daughter's favorite comedian, longer than mine, and I don't know how she was watching him when still living in Spain, but might be since she was in boarding school in New York State for her first two years of high school.
