This is something I want to see, especially when visiting Scotland, it would be an amazing experience and the pipers are extraordinary. The songs from the bagpipes make my hair stand on in, the sound is like nothing else. Scotland is a beautiful country! Can't wait to see it!

@@JimRamsayJWR not sure, would love to visit later in the new year. We want to visit Scotland while we visit family in Irleand. It's amazing seeing the history of everything especially at the old castles and castle ruins plus the old churches. The landscape and ocean is unbelievable, it's something you have to see with your own eyes.

As it’s a centuries old tradition it isn’t an exact date each year but it is the first Tuesday, after the second Thursday in June each year.

It's nice to hear the Royal Regiment of Scotland's pipe band play something other than the goddamn Atholl Highlanders, followed by the Glendaruel Highlanders. Don't get me wrong, they're great, jaunty tunes, but they are way overplayed.

@scottie2785 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with traditional tunes. Also, the Pipes and Drums are a battalion asset and don't practice with the mil band on a regular basis, so having a set of traditional standard common marching tunes is important. You should also consider that the aim here is to accompany marching troops, not to entertain. The boys play plenty of other stuff at the appropriate events.
