1:55 The writers messed up here big time. Mufasa's death should have initially raised serious questions among the members of the pride. [1] In what manner could a lion cub be directly responsible for the death of an adult lion? [2] Simba loved his father immensely. How could Simba ever think of causing Mufasa's death? [3] On announcing his ascension to the throne earlier, Scar had told members of the pride that both Mufasa and Simba were killed. How did Scar explain the cause of Mufasa's death and Simba's absence? [4] Why didn't Simba mention anything about the real cause of his father's death? The stampeding Wildebeests. [5] Scar admits to murdering Mufasa seconds after accusing Simba of murdering Mufasa. This statement would have confused the members of the pride. Even in an animation such as the Lion King, there has to be a logical progression of cause and effects. Of course, addressing these issues would have probably lengthened the animation by at least another 45 minutes.

I love this movie but I'll never get over how quickly Simba's pride and family turn on him, especially his mother because at the end of the day he was a child. Yeah he feels at fault but that is your son that returned from the dead so maybe give him a little bit of leniency.

@@marvincorre4783 I agree with frolo, horned king, and chernabog being more evil, but I think scar is just a bit more evil than maleficent. There is an argument for the evil queen, but I also don’t think she rises to quite the level of scar. The rest are not even close (they never attempted to kill their own family members nor run the kingdom into ruin and willingly allowing their subjects to starve to death).
