Lions life span is usually 10 to 15 years so Mufasa was possibly around 8 or 9 years old and scar was 4 or 5 years old when Simba was exiled he was 3 months old.When Simba returned he was 5 years of age and Scar was maybe 8 1/2 or 10.

She trained him to let her sleep in and wait to be fed until someone woke up, but that went out the window when he got sick. And because he was too smart for his own good, he knew.
