My grandmother practiced Santeria, a religion of African practices mixed with the Spanish Catholic religion that they were forced to partake in. When they were alone, they practiced their own beliefs (voodoo). It developed into Santeria over time. Im way off topic but seeing Africa in the way that it should be shown, the real beauty of the continent. It also reminds me of my childhood. Even then I was mesmerized by the beauty.

This "dude" is Lebohang Morake from South Africa. Also known as Lebo M, he is a South African producer and composer, known for his songwriting and vocal work on the soundtracks to films such as The Lion King, The Power of One and Outbreak and numerous stage productions. He was recommended to Disney by Hans Zimmer, the composer of both adaptations of The Lion King, and formed and conducted the African choir that sang for the films. He is a big name in the international music arenas, and I'm truly surprised that so few people know this.

Whenever I miss my brother, I watch this video. It feels like I go back in time to when I was still with him. This is the last video we watched together the night before he died. I had a lot of regrets because I was not able to even talk to him before I went to work that Saturday morning. It gave me a trauma, and that's why I get so paranoid and make sure to say my goodbyes before I leave. I always think that this may be the last chance I'll have to see them. He was so young; he could've done so much more. His passing was so sudden and tragic, and it gave me so much pain. Sad, but I still somehow feel happy because the memory of him still feels vivid, like I can remember all the details. It's been 5 years.
