I'm not a big fan of the idea of remaking The Lion King but I hope this is good, Scar looks and sound weird to me. crusty, dusty, musty and probably smelly sums it all up lol

In the wild the darker is mane of a lion the more dominance,he has over the pride. The directors did a great job with scar's look,and he looks like that because he doesn't have a pride.

Yes I think they did a great job with creating an accurate representation of the creatures in the film, but let us not forget they are talking lions for goodness sake. I feel like if we have talking animals singing Disney tunes, a little bit of the realism goes out of the window and we can make Scar look a little more menacing or “evil”. (Not saying he needs neon green eyes and a full mane to be evil, I just found his presence to be lacking). But of course the real judgement must be saved for when the film comes out, these were just initial feelings, thoughts, and reactions :)

I am really surprised so many people are against Scar's look just because it doesn't copy & paste the original, I mean if you talk to researchers and experts they actually agree a male lion either ostracized from his pride or without one could very likely look like this, being it is a loner that has to scrounge and fight for food when even available. They say it would be under nourished, scraggly, sickly and war torn looking. I think Disney and the director did a great job in creating Scar's look, it's just the die hard sheep who grew up with this movie just can't stand to see any changes, especially physical ones.

I’m not against it because it’s not a copy and paste, he was just underwhelming in general. The entire film thus far just looks like a copy and paste of the original. I understand the attention to detail that took place in order to make this look as accurate as possible, but when it comes down to it, if we have a movie with talking lions we can have a little more of a dramatic Scar.

Awesome trailer review/reaction. The original Lion King is my favourite movie ever so I personally think this Remake is totally unnecessary. From the trailer footage it looks like a exact replica of the original Lion King just CGIED. I’m also not a fan of Scar’s design LOL.
