I wish I could enjoy this music properly, but its music that resonates with me so much its hard to listen to it and purely enjoy it. It makes me think of childhood, the good, the bad, the memories I miss waking up to watch this with my mom in the morning, memories I will never have again and I feel like I took for granted when I had them. Bittersweet, melancholy.

The Lion King is one of my favorites Disney films since 1994 and now, 27 years ago, it still is, but the remake was ok, but I think I prefer both, it's a balanced btw 1994 and 2019, and Hans Zimmer score is breathtaking, I love it, as much I love the movie

From 30:43 to 33:44, the best part of the mix for this is always the best part of the score for both 1994 and 2019. From 31:37 onwards, the mix ascends to 32:26 and reaches the climax starting from 32:33. Wow! what a triumphant ending of the mix

Guarda, carissimo Franco, direi proprio che in questa colonna sonora, soprattutto dal minuto 21.19 (27.15 nell'edizione 2019) c'è racchiusa tutta la mia vita, specialmente perché quella musica fa presagire l'arrivo tra le stelle del nostro amico Mufasa: naturalmente stai tranquillo, perché, nonostante gli ultimi classici Disney siano belli, nessuno scalzerà mai "Il Re Leone!" dal trono dei miei film preferiti, regnerà per sempre....passassero 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 1000, o addirittura 2000 anni, la cima sarà sempre sua. La Rupe dei Re sovrasta e sovrasterà tutti, con la sua ombra possente, Sempre, che in cima ci siano Mufasa o suo figlio, nonchè attuale sovrano, Simba: cioè, so che è una storia di fantasia, ma se fosse vero, il Re sarebbe Simba, mentre il caro vecchio Mufasa sarebbe in cielo a vegliare su di noi, tra i "grandi re del passato!".....e ovviamente Simba farebbe la guardia dalla sommità della Rupe, per poi magari svegliarci al mattino con un possente ruggito. Ah, ovviamente sicuramente poi verrebbe a controllare se stiamo bene.

Ah, Franco, dimenticavo, un'altra colonna sonora molto bella è quella di "Crudelia!", anche se non è così rilassante come Questa, che magari ti può fare anche dormire la notte, ed io se non sbaglio, mi sa che da piccolo avevo una cassetta con la storia del Re Leone, che i miei mettevano spesso e volentieri per farmi addormetare la notte. Cioè, veramente passasse un milione di anni, ma il film (e la relativa colonna sonora) più bella rimarranno quelli di "Il Re Leone!", perchè si sente tutta la potenza e la maestà del ruggito di Mufasa sia quando fa scappare le iene e quando, ferito e dolorante, sente l'effetto delle zampe di suo fratello per farlo cadere giù dalla roccia, ed alla fine del film, sulla sommità della Rupe dei Re, quello di suo figlio, nonchè legittimo erede al trono, Simba...e permettimi di augurarti buonanotte con queste parole: "Ricordati...chi sei!"

Ehh, caro Franco, questa colonna sonora fa presagire l'arrivo del nostro caro Mufasa (doppiato a 21.22 dall'indimenticabile Vittorio Gassmann, e a 26.46 dall'altrettanto bravissimo Luca Ward): seriamente, passassero 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 1000 o addirittura 2000 anni, ma nonostante ci sia anche "Crudelia!", nessuna mi rilassa come Questa, ed il posto più alto rimarrà sempre quello di "Il Re Leone!", specialmente se pensiamo ai ruggiti di Mufasa nel cimitero degli elefanti quando salva Simba e Nala da cuccioli, oppure dello stesso Simba quando, appena salito sulla sommità della Rupe dei Re, reclama, con un possente ruggito, il suo ritorno.
