Same here Will! I pre-ordered the scale polar express and all six cars I’ve been lucky enough to locate the reindeer card and two other cars to make it a total of nine cars. There are still two cars and I’m looking for that I can’t find anywhere. Frank

The movie the Polar Express came out in 2003 and late 2023 will be the 20th. Anniversary of the move the Polar Express. One of my nieces went to see it in December,2003 on her school trip to Arizona Mills in Tempe,AZ.

Completely agree. The whistle matches the prototype Pere Marquette 1225. However, the whistle in the movie is different.

The whistle on this engine isn’t accurate but it is pretty good. And I have to admit the coaches actually look better than the ones I have even though I have the same complete collection but not designed like this it’s pretty amazing. But I’m happy with the one I have

Hello Mark! The coal tower you are looking at was made from Lionel. Lionel released this tower both fully assembled and as a kit. The other red one is a gold gate depot coal tower. Happy Railroading!

The observation car in the video is a scale observation car. The LionChief observation car doesn’t have the lighted “PE” drum head on the back of the car. However, there are lighted drum head sets that can be put on your car as an upgrade!

On the earlier Pere Marquette Legacy steam locomotive, Lionel made a separate sale tender with the Polar Express sound effects and road specific crew talk. I was able to find one and it works with this Polar Express too! Happy Railroading!
