Might as well toss in some caviar and truffles if you're going to spend that much on a diet. On a budget nothing beats chicken and rice you just have to watch your portion size with the rice.

Awesome! Everything you need mentioned in one video!! Maybe in a separate video.. Why to walk after a meal.. As most know now, You cannot burn body fat when your insulin level is high (typically after a meal containing carbs). A large insulin spike will stop fat burning completely and for a long time, maybe even as long as to the next meal (as with diabetics and pre-diabetics)! Used muscles can pull out glucose from the blood without insulin so walking after a meal will reduce the insulin spike and allow fat burning to continue either immediately or soon after the meal.

I really don't know why this isn't talked about, but everybody is always complaining about the fruit having sugar in it. It's very simple to solve, take your milk kefir and put the fruit in it and leave it on the counter overnight and let the bacteria and the milk keefer eat the sugar in the fruit and activate the polyphenols And turn the fructose into postbiotics

I like the American Diabetes Association Plate method. Take a 9 inch plate. Fill half with non-starchy vegetables. Fill one quarter with low saturated fat proteins. Fill the other quarter with non-refined or whole carbs. Drink water or another 0 calorie drink. Very simple and healthy. There are some foods which are a little confusing at first. Non-starchy vegetables includes non-vegetables, like avocados, carrots, cucumbers, mushrooms, olives, peppers, squashes, string beans, tomatoes, etc. plus the obvious ones Proteins includes plant foods like most legumes, nuts, seeds, and also reduced fat dairy products, as well as the obvious. Carbohydrates includes corn, winter squashes, most beans and legumes, yogurt, milk and plant milks, as well as the obvious.

Greek yogurt with loads of frozen berries and some raw oats usually curbs my ice cream craving these days. Another hack I've used in the past is blend up ripe bananas with cacao powder (optional nuts, cacao chips, honey, vanilla, whatever you can think of) until reaches smooth consistency and then put in the freezer. You can make it and then freeze for 15-20 mins or freeze solid and take it out 15-20 mins right before eating - either way, ends up mimicking the consistency of ice cream very well and is delicious. Can always opt for the Halo top or other keto ice cream options too. There are a lot of sweet alternatives across the board.

**Key Takeaways from Thomas DeLauer’s Simplest Fat Loss Strategy for Any Experience Level ** ### 1. **Prioritize a Protein-First Food Pyramid** Thomas DeLauer’s dietary framework emphasizes **lean meats** as the foundation of his fat-loss strategy: - **Base Tier**: Lean meats (96% lean ground beef, chicken) for high protein intake with controlled fat. - **Second Tier**: Slightly fattier cuts (e.g., 85% ground beef, eggs) for balanced nutrition. - **Third Tier**: Protein-rich dairy (Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, aged cheeses) for conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and satiety. - **Fourth Tier**: Fruits (berries) and natural sugars (honey, maple syrup) for energy without spiking insulin excessively. - **Fifth Tier**: Veggies and starchy carbs (sweet potatoes) for antioxidants and controlled fiber intake. - **Top Tier**: Strategic fats (olive oil, nuts) and daily treats (dark chocolate, Halo Top ice cream) to maintain psychological balance. **Why It Works**: This hierarchy ensures protein prioritization, nutrient density, and metabolic flexibility while allowing room for enjoyment. --- ### 2. **Macronutrient Ratios: Protein is King** - **40-50% of calories from protein**: Ensures satiety, muscle retention, and metabolic efficiency. - **Adjust protein intake based on total calories**: Higher calorie days (e.g., 4,000 calories) may naturally reduce protein percentage but should still prioritize protein-rich foods. - **Fats and carbs are secondary**: Tailor carb/fat ratios to activity levels (e.g., limit fats if sedentary, reduce carbs if insulin-resistant). --- ### 3. **Cycle Calories and Activity** - **High-calorie weeks**: Eat more and move more (e.g., intense workouts, increased steps). - **Low-calorie weeks**: Eat less and reduce activity to match energy expenditure. - **Mental benefit**: Mimics a "descending ladder" approach, preventing burnout by aligning diet and exercise intensity. --- ### 4. **Practical Hunger Management** - **Protein shakes**: A quick, low-calorie solution to curb hunger and boost protein intake. - **Electrolytes (e.g., LMNT)**: Sipping salt water or electrolyte drinks suppresses cravings, especially during fasting or calorie deficits. --- ### 5. **Burst Fasting for Metabolic Flexibility** - **3-5 days of intermittent fasting** followed by breaks prevents metabolic adaptation and offers a "shock" to kickstart fat loss. - Ideal for those who find daily fasting unsustainable but want periodic metabolic resets. --- ### 6. **Balance Stress and Recovery** - **Sympathetic (stress) vs. parasympathetic (recovery)**: - Avoid extreme calorie deficits during high-intensity training phases to prevent burnout and injuries. - Pair intense training with adequate calories and prioritize recovery (sleep, stress management). --- ### 7. **Top 10 Strategic Foods** DeLauer’s staples for fat loss and health: 1. Eggs/egg whites 2. Lean ground beef 3. Honey (Manuka, raw) 4. Chia and flax seeds (soluble fiber) 5. Fermented foods (kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut) 6. Berries (strawberries, blueberries) 7. Macadamia nuts (monounsaturated fats) 8. Greek yogurt/cottage cheese 9. Sweet potatoes (purple varieties preferred) 10. Whey protein concentrate --- ### 8. **Avoid Overcomplicating Carbohydrates** - **Glycemic index matters less for metabolically healthy individuals**: Focus on total daily carb intake and activity levels. - **Insulin-resistant individuals**: Reduce carbs and prioritize low-glycemic options. --- ### 9. **Mindset and Sustainability** - **Daily treats**: Small indulgences (e.g., dark chocolate) prevent feelings of deprivation. - **Listen to your body**: Recognize the difference between hunger and surplus (e.g., "fullness" vs. overeating). --- ## **Conclusion** Thomas DeLauer’s strategy simplifies fat loss by combining **science-backed principles** with **practical flexibility**: 1. **Protein prioritization** ensures metabolic efficiency and muscle retention. 2. **Cycling calories and activity** aligns with natural energy fluctuations, enhancing adherence. 3. **Strategic fasting and hunger management** tools (electrolytes, protein shakes) make deficits sustainable. 4. **Balanced indulgence** (daily treats, controlled carbs/fats) supports long-term psychological health. This approach avoids extreme restrictions, focusing instead on adaptability, nutrient density, and metabolic awareness. Whether a beginner or advanced, the key lies in tailoring these principles to individual needs while maintaining consistency and recovery.

I exercise 4 times a week, and practice yoga everyday and some cardio here and there. I try to keep my body moving daily, but I do have a desk job at the moment, so I can't move aaaall the time. I've been having around 10% carbs, 55% fats and 35% protein daily. Sometimes carbs go up to 15% or fats go up to 60% and protein goes down to 30% in both cases. And he is correct you can lose weight just eating meat or mostly meat but most of us will pay at some point by having our chest cracked open and our arteries bypassed. He seems to forget about the millions dying from colorectal cancers or does not understand the relationship between eating out of your biological niche and disease. You can get all the benefits of carnivore on vegan keto without the gout, diverticulitis, constipation, uremic poisoning (killed my Irish Granny at the age of 35), atherosclerosis, bad breath and body odor.

Can you pls send this to RFK?!? We were told to eat a horrible food pyramid growong up and I believe this isnpartly responsible for the American metabolic disaster we currently find ourselves in. And it makes me wonder, if we were healthier back in early 2020 how many more of our loved ones would still be with us....

Thomas....please, PLEASE do a food items list for us poor folk. I am living on social security. Can't afford things like on this list and forget about LMNT. I do Redmonds salt instead. See what I mean?

You say don't combine fat and carbs, as in non-keto low carb. However, when I look what you eat, it looks non-keto low carb.

You didn’t specify Non Fat, Low Fat or Full Fat dairy. 😊

Just wish I still liked beef, chicken, and eggs. Used to love them. Now they make me gag unless they are in a sandwich or mixed in rice. Basically all meat is that way now. Pretty sure Covid changed my taste buds back in 2020.

Fattier cuts more important than fiber for the purpose of cutting doesn't seem like the correct prioritization.

Thanks. I rarely eat Honey and never potatoes unless it is a once a month treat. The rest I do but add in Chicken, Tuna, Pecans, Olives, Rocket leaves and Cucumber. Honey is sugar, can't deny chemistry.

Oh boy, would the meat heads disagree with you on all of these, other than the meat/eggs of course.. That meat only is way too restrictive, and not sustainable.. They preach that it is, but it's not.. People eventually will integrate other foods in...

I lost a lot of weight eating healthy keto with organic meats, eggs and dairy, but the pain in my joints kept getting worse. I have had to drop all the animal protein from my diet to calm the inflammation in my joints. I still try to eat high protein and healthy fats with my fruits and veggies. I avoid all sugars, alcohol, grains, and heavy starches. Yes, I miss the animal protein, but not the pain it caused me.
@ericdee25252 күн бұрын
does dropping the animal protein really help? i have not noticed a different. im back to full animal protein. but i do notice that caffiene greatly affects my joints. stop for about 2 weeks and all my pain goes away. but my joint pain is fairly mild
@erinpetersen78242 күн бұрын
@ericdee2525 I only have caffein in the early morning, and rather weak. Dropping the coffee did nothing to improve my pain. I have done that for a good month.

Dang, I’m sorry that you feel this away. There’s a lot of information that needs to be discussed and it needs a lot of content to illustrate it. Lots of nuance. Most people don’t feel this way about the channel, but I understand personal preference. Hate to see you go!
