And at such a young age. Pray for this child.

I adored the little one in blue, who kept pointing to her as thou to say "she's distressed. Someone help her." And looking at the audience in confusion because they just laughed and clapped. Understood that someone needed comforting but didn't understand the resulting emotional response from the crowd. Tried several times to help... wanted to give them all a hug. What do these adults want from them at their age to memorize things like literally...are you even adults bcz this thing doesnt make you look like it at all. At end of the day its a toddler who cant remember all the stuff let them live at peace atleast and eliminate such type of trend. @staceydailey63942 жыл бұрын
@@Piecesoftheshadow I had fun watching a little girl who went to class once a week for 6-8 months to learn a dance (and learned it quite well I might add) that the goal was to get in stage and perform for her family. She isn't traumatized, she is simply doing something new that takes a set of skills that she has most likely never used. It's possible her teacher didn't prepare her enough for the rushing, bright lights, and different sounds of performing. But most likely the girl just got a little overwhelmed. It isn't like she couldn't run off stage if she really wanted to. It's obvious she wants to be there but over stimulated, yes I can agree that even adults who performed thier entire life can get over stimulated. Just we get upset tummies instead of crying. I think she is precious, talented, and a natural performer! That comes from myself as a professional dancer, and licensed dance instructor. At this age, this experience will help her build her confidence, weather she becomes a brain surgeon, a politician, or the CEO of a worldwide mega corporation, this night in stage will assist her in all the things for years to come.

@@staceydailey6394 I suffer from anxiety and sensory overload and things like this my entire life made my anxiety much worse, not better. Not all kids are the same and humans really need to learn to have more empathy. You can literally traumatised and mess people up at any age when forcing them to do things like this when they’re clearly in distress. Watching a little girl like that crying that hard while everyone laughs and claps is honestly gross, regardless of all the time she practiced or how much she remembered. She can build confidence in a million different ways besides one way where she’s, again, clearly in a great deal of distress.

@@Piecesoftheshadow you can't speak for everyone. I have social anxiety and ADHD. I did get sensory overload my first time on stage and felt slightly disoriented because I had to dance a routine I had practiced for 9 months in front of a mirror now on a much bigger space with no mirrors which almost felt like dancing in the dark BUT I wasn't traumatized and surprisingly didn't get stage fright. Mental health issues/experiences are not all black and white. Unfortunately alot of things like this are trial and error. We don't know if the girl was forced or asked her parents to continue dance even though it made her anxious. There were alot of things about dance that I didn't feel comfortable with (pressure/competitive vibes at dance comps, constantly having to be in group settings) but I still asked to continue year after year because I loved it
