Have you ever thought of a literal reading of the text? The week being 7 days? It would read like this. " And HE (Messiah) shall confirm the covenant (Isa. 55:1-7) with the many (Rev. 10:11 Peoples, tongues, nations and kings) for one week (7 literal days aka Pasion Week): and in the midst of the week (Wednesday/Thursday Passover ✝) HE shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease (IT IS FINISHED), and for over spreading of abominations (40 years of worthless animal sacrifices, Ezek. 4:6,7) HE shall make it desolate (Jerusalem void of Jews), even until the consummation (70th week), and that determined (time of the Gentiles be fulfilled; Lk. 21:24) shall be poured upon the desolate (Gospel poured upon the Children of the desolate, Isa. 54:1, aka Gentile believers). HE is pro-form to the antecedent Messiah, not "a prince" in Dan. 9:26. Isa. 55:1-7 is the New everlasting Covenant with the "sure mercies of David". Acts 13:34, Ps. 16:10. JESUS confirms the Isa. 55:1-3 covenant with HIS resurrection "the sure mercies of David". The many is the world not Israel. Rev. 10:11 , Matt. 24:14 A week is HIS passion week. HIS perfect LAST sacrifice ended the animal sacrificial system, "IT IS FINISHED". Overspreading of animal sacrifices for 40 years is an abomination after the SON of GOD was sacrificed. HE "bears" the iniquity of Judah 40 years then has an "iron pan" wall of Roman shields lay siege on Jerusalem, Ezek. 4:6, Luke 21:20. HE makes Jerusalem desolate to stop the abominations and to prevent the rebuilding. The consummation is the last week. "That determined" is the gap allowing for the dispensation of grace to every peoples, tongues and nation. Poured unto the desolate is a continuous pouring out of the Gospel upon "the children of the desolate".

Historical ignorance is a big problem among most pastors who teach Bible prophecy. They keep copying and repeating the same lies without doing the slightest amount of historical reseach to fact check the interpretation. At 17:20 he said that Alexander the great didn't have any children and that is a huge blunder. Alexander had a child from his wife Roxana, the baby was also named Alexander, and he was the official heir. Also, the empire was not "given to his four generals". Just Google "Partition of Babylon" and "Wars of the Diadochi". Also, "exactly three years" would be 2,190 and not 2,300 evenings and mornings (because 365 x 3 x 2 = 2,190 ).

Revelation never states that Christ reigns for a thousand years. It states that those who had beheaded for their testimony came to life and reigned WITH Him for a thousand years. Implying that Christ's reign is limited to a thousand years is a fallacy; He reigns now and forever. Now, whether or not you believe "thousand years" to be a literal 365,250 days or figurative, depends on how you choose to interpret scripture.

Thank you for your comment! There are at least 1,845 references in the Old Testament and 17 books give prominence to the event of Christ ruling the earth as King. Isaiah 11:1-16 talks about the coming KING from the line of Jesse. We are reminded every Christmas what Gabriel said to Mary that, "...the Lord God will give him the THRONE of his ancestor David." -Luke 1:32. Revelation 20:2, 20:3, 20:4, 20:5, 20:6, and 20:7 (which actually refer to the 1000 years being COMPLETED, which means it does end) all refer to the 1000 year earthly reign of Christ. If you wish to take this figuratively, fine, but it doesn't fit the Biblical model and it denies the promises of God. Details of that literal Kindgom can be found in Revelation 20, Isaiah 65, and Ezekiel 40-48 (the actual dimensions of the temple), among others. Revelation 11:15 mentions that the KINGDOM will last FOREVER. Yes, you are correct in your statement that He will reign forever, but that begins with a thousand year period on the Earth that will fulfill the Davidic Covenant and forever begins with the New Heaven and New Earth (Revelation 21:1). The "Jesus ruling in your heart" theology is an unfortunate distortion of this fact caused by early church history. If you are interested in researching this, look into Origin and Augustin's allegorization of the Scriptures. Essentially, if Jesus doesn't rule from a literal throne in literal Israel on planet Earth, then what of God's promise of this to Mary? Why do we pray this in the Lord's prayer (Thy Kingdom Come)? The throne of David didn't exist in Jesus' day. Rome ruled the world, Herod wasn't actually a king, he wasn't from the line of David, or even Jewish for that matter. Jesus hasn't ruled the earth from a throne--yet. That time will come and it will be followed by the eternal kingdom, which He will rule as well.

@@tonymuse Jesus was obviously referring to the spiritual kingdom in that passage and he was answering unbelievers' questions. Unbelievers have no place in the Kingdom--believers do. HE was the way to the Kingdom but they didn't believe He was the Messiah so they have no place in it. He's basically saying "I'm right here. I am the way," so to speak. I hope that helps.

@@tonymuse I think we will learn that the spiritual realm is more "physical" than we realize. Yes, we will have new bodies--just like Christ's. His is physical--he ate, drank, and told His disciples to touch him "for a spirit does not have flesh and bone". There is Earth, there is the "spiritual realm" (which has geographical properties if you look at Daniel 10:12-13), and there will be a NEW heaven and NEW earth after the 1000 year Kingdom on THIS earth are completed.

Don't you guys realize that history repeats itself? Wasn't it the reason Jesus Christ was crucified in his times? Back in those days religious were the first people to throw him the first stones because he wasn't matching their expectations of the coming of the Messiah. On the top of that he came with a new teaching that's very well blasphemous for the church at that time. Jesus Christ was yelling left and right that he was the SON OF GOD/ HIS EQUAL. How can you know for sure the so called antichrist won't be a man sent from GOD? Because every you're claiming about his character and the things he will be teaching match exactly Jesus Christ's teaching as well. You'd better best believe that during that time he ( Jesus) was categorized as anti- Christ and on top of this he came with a new teaching which was completely world's apart from the standard ones they used to preach. The term Anti-christ is linked/ born from people expectations of the Messiah not the other way around. Think about it. All it takes to God is to send a savior/ new teacher that doesn't fit the population's believe to be called as an impostor/ satan/ the beast / anti- christ, which leads to Confusion. I can tell you with certitude that Jesus christ will never come from heaven to judge us. Which is ridiculous, it has never been his attempt, it was only a construction from MAN because he loves to judge. The papacy is the anti christ just by looking at the prophecies of Daniel. Nebuchadnezzar’s dream: gold=Babylon, silver=medo-Persia, bronze=Greece, Silver=Rome. Daniel later gets more info on these 4 empires through his vision of the 4 beasts, which represent these same 4 empires. The 4th empire has 10 horns, the 10 kingdoms that come out of Rome when it falls ( which is also the 10 toes mixed with iron and clay). The 10 horns come out of the 4th kingdom when it divided in 476AD. The Alemani, Anglo Saxons, Bergundians, Lombards, Suevi, Francs, Visigoths, Heruli, Vandals and Ostrogoths were the 10 toes(Daniel chapter2) and also the 10 horns(Daniel chapter 7). Heruli, Vandals and Ostrogoths were the 3 plucked out before 538AD. Vigilus, the bishop of Rome, ascended the papal throne under the protection of the Roman general Belisarius, plucking up the 3 kingdoms right on time, 538AD! The papacy did that!!! The man of sin revealed!

Hello, Brandon. The character referred to as the "antichrist", who actually has many other titles, is always eluded to as a man in Scripture (2 Thess 2:3, Daniel 9:27, and many others), therefore it cannot be a group or organization. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10, we see several things: Verse 3: He is a "man" and the "apostasy" has to happen before he is revealed, which many argue is the removal of the church or could also be a "falling away" spiritually of the church itself in the world. Verse 4: We see, again, him as a man who desires worship and sits in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. Verse 6-10: Something is restraining the revealing of the "man of sin" AKA antichrist, therefore no humans on earth can know who he is "yet". That "something", also called the "restrainer", which many agree is the Holy Spirit indwelling the Church. Once the Church is gone via the rapture event, the man of sin will be revealed.
