What a gorgeous looking place, it must have been very popular back then for families to take their children to swim and to just enjoy the day. Such a pity that they don't want to restore the place. Once again DM very interesting 👍

Pretty cool, the architecture reminds me of the Neptune Pool at Hearst Castle here in California. It is a shame it isn't cleaned up, modernized and put back into use. Cleaned up it would make a nice tourist draw to the local area, and starting point for more exploration. It really displays the short sightedness of the local council. Besides, swimming, the grounds could be used for holding special occasions, photo ops, and filming. With the Neptune Pool, the public can't swim in it, but at least it is maintained to its former glory and is one of the main draws to Hearst Castle, the Pacific Coast Highway and Cambria California. 35°41'8.48"N, 121°10'8.77"W - Neptune Pool
@daftmonkey72964 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you Paul, this place should be cleaned up and restored to its former glory! I’ve just checked out Neptune pool and it really does have a similar vibe to it. So much could be done here with just a little help from the council who are trying their best to be as difficult as possible. Such a shame...
@HolyFreakinDragonSlayer4 жыл бұрын
It looked pretty neat yesterday when I was at Park Hall, overgrowth still cleared and some of the tiles could be seen just above water level on the 7ft deep sign. Small bit of structural damage in the concrete section that divides both pools. Other than that still a marvel and could do with a jet washer to clean up and restore he pool side. I agree that it could be hired out for filming and photoshoots... but it is actually part of somebodies back garden so it's down to the property owners whether they want to consider that avenue of revenue (but first it would have to be made a safe area to work in)
@paulayala48164 жыл бұрын
@@HolyFreakinDragonSlayer I agree it would have to be cleaned up and made safe again, but it could be used to generate revenue. Even in it's current condition it would make a good set for a dystopian movie.

Hi guys I live not far from hayfield and was actually at the pool yesterday. May I ask if you knocked on the door of the owners house? I went via the woodland but its been baracaded off woth electrical fencing and babred wire. I've trying to find out who owns the property. Do you by any chance have a phone number for them or a full name please.
@daftmonkey72964 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, thank you for watching the video, it’s much appreciated. We stumbled across the own by complete chance and I only know him by the name of Merv. He was a lovely bloke but i didn’t take kindly to people trespassing on his property. I think he lives on the land so i would advise knocked on his property if you want to access the place. Thanks once again and I hope this helps 👍🏼 take care and stay safe 👍🏼

@@daftmonkey7296 thanks so much for the information matey. Which property is it he lives in, is it that closest one to the pool (basically have to walk through someone's yard/garden to get there) or is it one of the surrounding buildings. I also went back in February the road you went up and saw that the scaffolds you passed now had a new double gate the old park Hall pool sign was a fixed to it and either side where two eagles- there were a lot of groundworkers fixing the ruins adjacent to the closest pool house. Yesterday I only took pictures for over a fence due to the respect of the grounds so couldn't get a full perspective. I would happily help Merv clean up and restore the place for sure. I'd definitely like to see him make some revenue from it.

It's not the Council that has to be convinced it's local residents who object to large numbers of visitors disturbing their peace and cluttering up the drives of their expensive homes with cars
