You know what bugs me about this set other than Vanessa's flat feet? *They removed the internal rubber click knee joint in Vanessa's legs* to save a few pennies. ☹ The legs no longer bend at all because the internal joint is no longer in the legs. They are now just rubber gummy legs. The original Vanessa had knee and ankle articulation. The original Ursula had wires in her tentacles which allowed you to pose them and helped her stand on her own. The original Classic Eric's shirt and pants where two separate pieces instead of the onesie this one comes with, and the pants had more a blue jean texture to them. The old set that came with King Triton retailed for *$79.99,* but most Disney stores dropped the price to *$39.99* a few months after the release.

Beware the cape can stain, what I did was soak the cape in water and dish soap, squeezing it out and rinsing and repeating until it stops dying the water. Now she freely wears them without the fear of staining.

Ohh yess! I actually forgot to mention that in the video. She was already kinda stained on the shoulders even right out of the box. Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely try that out! 😍💜

@@ChaymieCreates Yes same. I think its good they gave her a different skintone because it's easier to rebody in cases like this. Also be sure to let it soak for a few minutes at a time. Before you try the cape out, let it soak in just warm a water and see if the water is still dyed. Squeeze it out in the water and see if it dyes. Once it stops, air dry and it's safe to use!

I’m sooooo happy you got the set (or Vanessa) I also got the package and I love it, even tho I wish they would have done a single release of Vanessa so people don’t have to take advantage of others who can’t get her at other countries and sell her on second hand websites for like $200 just her. Which is ridiculous. Disney yes give us what we want but they also f’us up by selling her on a set. And they know she’s the most wanted from the set. I hope they release a Giselle single release doll for disenchanted.

How can you tell that Vanessas face sculpt is an old Ariel one rather than the current Ariel one?

The nose and the smaller eyes

Mostly can notice in the ways the eyes and the nose are sculpted. When you collect a lot of these dolls and are used to them, you could tell. :D Ariel’s new sculpt has larger rounder eyes 👀 plus sculpted eye lids. Vanessa’s (old Ariel) sculpt doesn’t have those plus a different eye shape. And the overall face shape is a bit different as well.
