I really love this folio society books. These are the editions I have not s een here in the Netherlands. I think that they are not available here unfortunately. I have seen a lot of beautiful books here on your channel. These editions always have such beautiful illustrations.

I think that this is a lovely edition, but it is disappointing that they didn't include the original French in the set. I have a trade hardcover copy in french, which I had purchased earlier this year. Even though I really like this edition, I don't know if I'll buy it because I try to avoid having more than one version of the same book. Still, it looks really nice.

Obrigada! Eu tenho uma coleção bacana, mas conheço, pela internet, gente que tem centenas de livros da Folio... Então em comparação eu sou uma mera iniciante hehehe. Essa edições são realmente caras demais, ainda mais com o frete, mas há algumas promoções que tornam os preços bem convidativos. A coleção do Guia do Mochileiro das Galáxias é muito linda. Eu nunca consegui terminar o primeiro livro. Espero tentar novamente em breve.

I'm guilty of this heresy! LOL. I shamelessly stamp all of them... I guess that since I don't want to sell them, ever, I have this ritual of stamping my books. It is something related to owning them, although I want to design a more interesting ex-libris. I like to think that a grandson ou someone in the future will remember they belonged to me. Crazy, right?!

It pains me physically to see it, but everyone has the right to do what they want with their books. Thanks for posting this video - FS did indeed do a lovely job. I don't prefer the french captions, but would agree with you that I would probably prefer a dual edition in French/English.

I totally get you. People have been hurt by my ex-libris before :P... The thing is, since I started doing it many years ago, I can't bring myself to stop. Have you never stamped your books? I used to write on them, so I guess I improved a lol! lol. BTW, the perfect edition of this book, in my opinion, would be bigger, with the commentary volume and a the original text in French.

This surely is a beautiful edition however I think they have overpriced it. If they had included a copy in the original French it would have justified it and made it the ultimate edition.

I agree... specially because I really wanted the original text. But in general prices are higher, right? I'm officially broke after the Christmas Collection. Hopefully my next order will be in January. :)

BookCravings yeah their prices are usually higher and I am good with that because of the quality. However relative to how many pages even when both volumes are considered and the fact there is nothing particularly different in the materials used I think it is slightly more inflated than normal. In fairness though I think their copy of the wind in the willows is under priced so... lol

The Female Self Image Revolution I totally agree. Considering that The Wind in the Willows is printed on Modigliani Paper (which is so gorgeous), this one is very expensive. I don't know how they do the math. I think that treating every image could be an expensive process depending on the technology used. I wish I could be a spy to know all these details. I hope there is a good reason for the high price of this particular title besides the fact that people who love the story would buy it no matter what lol

I love and collect FS and the little prince but I was really so disappointed with this edition. I hate the cover of the commentary section. It's too bad there aren't enough special edition little prince books out there.

I like this copy but I agree that there aren’t enough special editions. This book is so special.. publishers could came up with incredible designs.
