tippngthevelvet hi. it arrived at school when I was about 15. Fascinating social phenomenon. Can you be more specific about what it changed for you?

@TomTremayne pt2. You cannot tell me that you have rebelled against a person in authority while you was growing up, or taken a drug of one kind or another (including alcohol/ tobacco?) or looking at a magazine from the top shelf? If you haven't you have not reached that stage of growing up yet and may never become an adult until you do. The items in this book are all taken from the perspective of experiences we have all had as a teenager. It's not acceptable for anyone to say what can be printed

@TomTremayne That's not really a good attitude, you see the freedom for them to publish a book that is quite harmless in it's conception is the same freedom that allows you the right to speak out against the governing body that ensures we live in a fairly morally right environment. The same freedoms that allows you to choose your religion, or allows you the right to vote.

I remember it too; one of my (QLD) high school teachers was sacked for handing it out. So where are we over 50 years later ...? In Australia, Youth crime, teacher (& police) shortages, teen suicides up, school violence up, child abuse up, "family" dysfunction up. Go Greta Thunberg!
