The Littles: First Line Of Defense

Four friends, immediately come to the defense of the family's Littles. It doesn't matter that they are different species. It doesn't matter that they were not the ones targeted. What's important is that members if their community, members of their family have been threatened. The enjoyment of all, the peace of innocents was threatened by attempted violence. Four friends, didn't see their differences. They came together to defend their home. Species, nor size, nor strength matters. They didn't sit on the side waiting to see what happens or how far the attackers will go.

Pig Trudy can in no way be compared to a 75lb dog in reality. They’ve had a thousand of years of domestication. Pig Trudy is a feral pig and if her instincts kicked in she would quickly become the most dangerous little on that farm. Wild hogs are VERY dangerous. Once she grows tusk she may need to be permanently separated because they can be deadly. I hate the thought of it but it’s a possibility. She’s not even a year old yet.

I am so proud of Annie, Dan, Pig Trudy, & Ringo for protecting the Littles. They know & do their jobs well, as we all knew they would!!! And then the ducks & geese did exactly like they weree supposed to & went to the pond!! They had a plan, practiced it, & it worked!!! Just like your hurricane plan. By the way, have you ever practiced it to see how long it takes to get everyone rounded up, caught, & moved? It might be good to try it once just to get a general timing. (I used to be on the American Red Cross Hurricane Evacuation & Response Team during Katrina.) Love y'all & hopefully the dogs will stay away. 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

Just watched some of the NYC 9/11 documentary then came here to check out the Farm. I dont think the dogs were harmful, just wanted to see if they could get in on such a sweet life. Let's be honest, Annie could have taken them all down by herself but nice to know Ringo, PigTrudy & Lt. Dan had her back. Lester, you're so right, the animals are a perfect example of God's Will for us to love & support one another no matter who or what we are - its such a beautiful thing to watch goats loving pigs loving donkeys living Alpacas, etc. It does my heart & soul good & restores any hope lost from watching the news. Stray dogs have been known to attack livestock and injure a horse bad enough to kill it! However you can always hop in your car and save as many stray dogs as possible. Too late for the dogs in this video. It's in the past. Should of, could of, would of.

Lester, you forgot to include, you, Jami and LE. All three of you set the tone and spirit of the farm and lead with kindness and love. Animals are very sensitive and can read emotions and intent - they can feel safety or danger and they feel very safe in the environment you've provided. With a regular barbwire fence those dogs would have already been in the pasture, but your fence prevented entry. Those dogs would have been in for one hell of a fight had they gone in the pasture. The "A" team was already on the front lines and ready for battle. The hooves and horns would have been flying. Don't forget about the dogs at the house - they told Daddy Lester about the intruders. And Daddy Lester was the biggest protector of all. The pack ran off with their tails down when Daddy Lester arrived yelling at them. I hope they don't come back.

And had the dogs gotten close to the geese....lordy mercy, but those geese would have torn them some dog butts off. Haven't you ever seen how geese chase people and other animals off their property? Yep, they surely would have, geese are fearsome creatures. But, geese aside, it's not surprising to see the guards come out, for that's what donkeys, llamas, and mama goats are. I was a little surprised to see the pig but pigs are one farm animal I've never been around. But yes, donkeys and.llamas are natural herd guards and one reason farmers have them. A lot of people say animals don't love and that's the difference between us and them but have you seen the interaction between an animal and someone who loves them back? It's amazing. Love this. I had 3 donkeys and in some ways enjoyed them more than my horses. They are the best guardians of the pasture. Thank goodness i have never witnessed it but when a donkey gets his last straw broke....you know the one that broke the camels back......when he or she locks down freezes up and explodes.......they have just lost their damn minds!!!! I know they gotta go but i feel a little sorry for them dogs cause they got no idea what kind of hell is about to be unleashed just from that one donkey. I love Donkey Dan! This is exactly why farms use donkeys and alpacas as herd protection. They have been proven to be more affective than dogs. I've seen a picture of the aftermath of a donkey vs a mountain lion, and the donkey was the last man standing.

For those who are taking up for the dogs: Have you ever seen a pack of dogs attack an animal? Not a pretty sight and very heartbreaking! I witnessed a pack of six friendly, well fed, well loved family pets attack a calf. A dog’s whole demeanor changes into a wild animal when it is in a pack! By the way, our own family dog was included in this group and had to be put down with the rest of them. Once a dog get’s the taste of blood, he will continue to kill! I am not trying to be cruel, but Mother Nature always reigns, whether good or bad. Thanks for the “Life Lesson”, especially on this sacred day, Lester. As a Volunteer Firefighter, today is a sad day of reflection and prayers. ♥️🙏🇺🇸♥️
