There are at least two Hogan's Heroes connections in this episode: Nita Talbot (the White Russian spy Marya in seven episodes), and Gordon Avil who was director of photography over that show's first five seasons.

I would love to see season 1 episode 10 "Furlong". My dad was a guard in that episode...even got a credit.

This show didn't air on my local stations when I was growing up. It's great and the Shepherds are awesome. Michael Reed's comment about this being Route 66 with a dog is spot on. TL Hobo is even more entertaining.

I never even knew this existed, only the colour version from the 80’s I believe. I enjoyed this although the intro from the other later version I prefer
