I was at the game and that first half had a lot of energy from sparty fans. It was actually deafening at some points. The best part was when Howard went down to injury, the fans began chanting "f*ck ohio" which was disgraceful. Just to have Brown throw a 3rd down one handed TD to Jeramiah. That absolutely shut the place down and the energy never came back into the building.

@ethanmaxfield4709 We ask our guys to play the run going into pass rush. We also have our guys cage pass rush as a team. We do not turn our guys loose to freestyle pass rush. It's just how we go about it. We don't give our guys a lot of opportunities to just get wins as pass rushers.

Like Birm said about OSU’s run defense, I think Iowa will score a few times. Because of that, I think OSU will be limited on the amount of times they have the ball. I’m going 34-17 OSU wins a “tight” game

I'm with austin on avoiding social media. I used to enjoy conversing with fans during the game but just to idiots aren't happy with anything. Coaches should be fired by halftime..ect. It ruins the enjoyment of the game.

@@deeplorable8988 Ohio state fans don’t understand football and fail to realize every game there are going to be mistakes that can be corrected. There’s a difference between praise and being realistic. Pretty sure Georgia struggled with Kent st and a couple other games the year they won the national championship. Ohio state lost to Vtech in 2014 and still won the national championship. Enjoy the process instead of complaining all the time

They are definitely better than MSU. Iowa has one of the best running backs in the country. 3 lbs will be needed. So it isn’t wrong. You are but the coaches aren’t. Iowa also has a better defense than MSU

@@mr.ohiostate2544 When was the last time we had a defensive lineman produce at a high level for even half of a season? That was Chase Young in 2019. LJ was elite, and we were DLU, but even with an elite secondary we're failing to get sacks and pressures. Tuimoloau has been a nonfactor and we've gotten bullied in the run game when Tyleik isn't playing. The amount of 5 star defensive linemen that Larry Johnson has turned into 6th or 7th round picks over the last 5 years is absolutely disturbing.

The defensive scheme they run, who has the responsibility for the outside flat area when the TEs or RBs release for a dump off pass? This has been an issue for a couple years . Secondly, the Oline didn’t seem to get to second level hat on hat like they did last week against Marshall. They also seemed slow pulling out on the edge runs.

Birm what your not taking in is the defense play in first half's are starting to become a trend. This shows up against say Oregon they would roll up close to 300 yds offense and 20 some points.
