Very nice explanation. Many of our misconceptions come from New Orleans Voodoo. They changed things when Hoodoo was created.

It's may be better described as pantheism. "The all is in all, all are within the all". G-d universal in nature. Creation is G-d in particular. The lwa are the archetypes of creation. But, there are also diefied ancestors. We should realize when one is incarnated, one is limited to self consciousness. Without the body there is collective consciousness because one is no longer held by time. Hence, the lwa is able to "possess " more than one body at a time.

In Ghana we say Almighty God and the God's. All the Loi's are African based on what I know. They existed before the slave trade. Yes there was many different rivals tribes that was sent through out the slave trades. There is 99 Gods each play their positions. Damballah and Ayeda Wedo are the Supreme Mother and Father God. Damballah created everything and Ayeda breath life into everything. They work together however you must know that in African Voodoo and Spirituality they pray in this order First to Mother God than Father God than the rest . Haitians are West Africans our Creators and the Gods are with us every where

Hello! I’m Penobscot, Indigenous to the North East USA. In my culture, we have a concept of Kachinas, or Great Spirits, and the closest European representation would be Demi Gods. Although, Demi Gods usually have a biological lineage to a God in European culture; it’s not this way with Kachinas or Great Spirits. The Kachina or Great Spirit would have “attributes of both,” I guess you could say. They would be in between a regular person and the Creator and other Gods. Would I be wrong to sort of equate Kachinas to the Loa? Like if I’m trying to explain to another native, would I be wrong in saying “They’re like Kachinas?” I’m not trying to spread information, & our traditions have so much in common I can’t help but want to know more.

I have a question for you and i need a real answer I just got done watching a video on the tree of death on the Tunnels of Set realms and the speaker mentioned the main power current within the tunnels of set is the king of spiders and his name is Obeya However obeya is the root of haitian voodoo This reveals that Obeya himself is the energy current of your magick system Weaver people it all makes sense now including even the realm of the loa It makes sense to me So why is this kept a secret Why arent people being educated about this I want an explanation

Your theology has a lot of similarities to Neoplatonist philosophy, which also teaches that there is one God that is the totality of the universe, but made up of many Gods which are aspects and representations of that oneness, because oneness only exists as a unity of multiplicity.
