I think your experience is rooted in the fact that this is so foreign and different to your normal spiritual practice. When people come into contact with ways and methods that are unfamiliar or alien to them they naturally feel uneasy and nervous around it. Like how a mother looks at their child. God opened my eyes & told me this is how demons manipulate people and show them false love. They teach people a form of false love that feels like real love. People grab a great amount of information between the ages of 1-5 years. Babies will wind up growing up & loving a person who abuses them, love drugs... Meaning regardless of what religion or spiritual practices you preform has a duality of good and wrong. That being said if there is bad vodou then there is good vodou. Just like you can walk with devil or you can walk with God and Jesus Christ. The choice is yours. Practice for bad or good. All spiritual practices have this choice universally. Good or wrong ?? Eh from what I've experienced voodoo could either be coincidence or real....i more so lean towards the real side simply due to chicken sacrifices seeming to work...that's a lot more than i can say about Christianity
