You two ladies are doing great work and making wonderful music. I literally cannot understand why you are not more visible in the country music scene more generally. As an Englishman I would love for you to come to the the U.K. and perform. Keep on doing what you do best. God bless.

My uncle, Gurney Adkins (son of Allie and Farley Adkins) grew up in Pikeville, Ky. He played fiddle with many folks, mostly gospel. But had a band of his own called Gurney Adkins and the Fox Valley Boys. Their "hit" was "Hot off the Press". Some years ago Ralph Stanley came to Tucson and of course I got a ticket right away. Before the show Ralph and the boys sat at a CD signing table. I bought a CD and waited in line. I got up to where Ralph was sitting and handed him the CD. While he was writing I said, "Mr. Stanley, do you remember my uncle Gurney Adkins?" He stopped signing, looked up at me and said, "Gurney? Ain't he dead?" We chuckled and I said Yes sir, for a few years now. I was sitting near the front during the show and he gave me a nod. And, now I have this great story to tell. I'm so glad that the Local Honeys are telling their stories and playing songs old and new.
