Mohiner Ghoraguli was the first rock bank of India dating back to the 1970s. They sang Bengali songs but unfortunately recording was so popular back then. People who listened to them came together with them some 20yrs later and sang some songs with them. Album "Aabar Bochhor Kudi pore. and writing halfway I realized maybe you are also Bengali! the pointed I wanted to make is the Hollywood bands of that time are more popular in India but not our own.

Unfortunately, there are no longer any great bands (at least not that I am aware of) after Fossils. Of course there are extreme metal acts, but they will always be for a niche audience.

In any video of songs across KZbin, at least 40-80% of the comments are about the emotions of the listeners. It just proves the fact that music plays a crucial part in our lives, at different points of time; especially between 18-35 yrs - starting college life to settling after marriage. A lot happens in these years and our favorite music during these years goes on to haunt or make us happy for the rest of our lives. I once asked a lady I was meeting for the first time - Do you like music ? she replied - There's a meme for this answer, Do you like breathing ? A beautiful lady with knowledge of memes and love for music. She is my wife now ! Our musical taste vary- she is more into indian classical and i am more into rock. Our kid, 4 yr old, is still figuring out what he likes best. I have already tried bringing him over to rock by playing AC/DC, Deff Leppard, Nirvana etc. But he likes his mother's renditions of classical ragas more ! So I maybe losing this battle !
