Hats off to Dark Adalia! An excellent and unexpected work, the story kept me guessing and thinking everything they thought they knew was wrong, when it all turned out to be far worse. Oh I really Loved this! Sincerely hope to get a sequel, although this is one of the rare ones that can end, or go on. I doubt anyone wants it to end, but if you must..😢 And such a great reading by our Dr Creepen who brought this one to life and as long as it was, (a perfect 50:00!) it seemed to go by faster. Spoiler: Author here! Kaya and her friends didn't have time to. The room Kaya and Jessica were in had a window, but it was too small for the two of them to escape through. Lastly, Kaya did in fact try opening the large window in the kid's room, but it wouldn't budge, and there was nothing she could've used to break the glass (not to mention that the demon used his ability to keep them in the house). I hoped that solved your confusion.

@@darkadalia Spoiler: Yeah, I thought they probably wouldn't break anyway or they'd end up back in the house if they tried to jump out. But at the very start, Kaya's first meeting with the possessed teen in the basement, after the door didn't budge the window would have been the next logical step - or were there no windows near the front door and I just missed that? Also, I ain't mad or anything because they didn't. Those are teens. I've seen teens who had tons of time to think and judge a situation choose the worst possible option xD I was just very on the edge of my seat.

@@julyol119 There is a window facing the gate in the other room, but that hadn't crossed Kaya's mind at that moment because she was so frightened. There is also a window in the kitchen, but it isn't big enough for all of them to fit through. I should have explained that a little better 😅
