The theory about two factions of lombaxes with Ratchet and Rivet being separated and joining different sides is quite intriguing, this way Insomniac could reuse the first scrapped concept for Nexus (beta name for Deadlocked) with Ratchet and Clank landing on a planet with two factions in war and both protagonists joining different sides

That would be kind of cool. Personally I see the Lombax Dimension game being like the original idea for Into the Nexus, with Ratchet and co. getting involved in a 2nd Great War between the Lombaxes and Cragmites, or in this case Tachyon and his army which would involve some Cragmites among other possible enemies the former Emperor has recruited. Maybe both could happen as while fighting Tachyon, the heroes learn that the Lombax forces are divided as some want to stay and defeat Tachyon once and for all while others want to destroy the devices Tachyon has built that is preventing the Lombaxes from fleeing to another dimension so they can do just that.

I've had an idea where Lombaxes were actually the enslavers of the cragmites and the real villains in the galaxy. Their good name and reputation were paid for and arranged in exchange for slaves and technology (Similar to socio-economical situations we see in earlier r&c games). And the reason for their departure from this universe is not to cover from Cragmites but rather to protect the universe from themselves. Kaden being one of the lombaxes to go against his own race for the greater good of the galaxy, via sealing them away.

I like to imagine a scenario like Ratchet being somewhat of a big topic, but it's not that simple. He learns a lot about his father's work and he proves himself sharp enough to fit in well enough. (Rivet spends her time learning about other parts of lombax society and doing odd jobs, maybe helping in factories like she did with the Morts.) However, the entire thing for Ratchet is always uncomfortable. He learns his birth name--through everyone around him refusing to call him anything else. I like to think Tachyon returns, or there is some other large threat and the elders decide it's time to turn tail. Ratchet disagrees; they won't stop with the lombaxes, they should protect what they've built. The elders still refuse and he snaps, with all the stress from the visit and every bit of drama the word "lombax" has done to him in the past boiling over. "Tachyon was right about one thing; you’re cowards." The elders don't take kindly to that comparison.

Same. I'd also like older Lombax weapons to return like the Alpha Distruptor, as it is a perfect weapon that can utilize the PS5's adaptive trigger. I have this idea of a Constructo like weapon that was pretty much a parody of the Morph Gun from Jak & Daxter, even the weapon's description would say the engineers were inspired by a damaged weapon that didn't originate from their home universe. Would that be close enough?

Okay, I'll be quite honest. Before, I really want to meet the Lombaxes and know their personalities. But, now, I'm kinda afraid. Especially afraid with Ratchet. If we do meet them, I was thinking that they could be bad people like they'll treat Ratchet and Rivet like an outcast and(later)/or don't want them to leave. But, whatever happens, we'll be ready for anything and any unexpected that none of us would see something coming.

Twice over, Ratchet mentioned that he or even the Lombax are not who each other ae expecting. Once in Crack in time and this time in Rift Apart. Lombax villains may as well be real. Or worse, the Lombax species dumbed themselves somehow.... or went into full machine transfer/robot based species. Yeah, a lot of possibility what the Lombax species is now and if they will attempt to come back to the hone universe (Ratchet's Dimension)

The line in question is an allegory to orphans meeting their biological parents for the first time and the anxiety leading up to it... If they make the Lombaxes into the "good guys were the bad guys the whole time" trope, they're probably just going to loose half the fans.

Personally I think that the lombaxes are neutral to a fault. The type to build weapons, selling them to high bidders to finance their own research as well as for self-protection. I think their scientists are brilliant minds, thirsting for knowledge regardless of where it falls on the moral scale. Powerful, yet not necessarily evil. Morally grey, leaning whichever way protects them and their secrets best at the time.

11:17 - I thought that the plotpoint they were building up to was Lombaxes returning to their original dimension. Not Ratchet going to live with them, or them preventing him from leaving this new dimension. Yeah, Ratchet going to them and staying there was brought up once by Tachyon, but only because he wanted Ratchet out of the way. Other than that, I think every time this was discussed, there was this undertone of the Lombaxes wanting to return home possibly. And even if they don't want ALL to go home, some of them might. Lot of them might. I mean, it's the entire race, so a lot of individuals. Some of them will surely want to go to their place of origin, no?

Before Rift Apart I had this idea that they were "Evil" in wanting to take over the Polaris Galaxy to bring order to it after abandoning it with newly made tech and a strong headed leader with there ideals(the steps that the Lombax might have been thinking of before Tachyon tried to wipe them out) perpetuating this method of reclaiming the galaxy under Lombax rule along with a Rebel Lombax that follows the old ways of their people. The only question I would ask myself is how that would work gameplay wise because I would think that this would have to take a new level with enemy AI to show how much of a powerful force the Lombaxes are since we've played as two now that can take on entire armies so an entire army of Lombaxes and their technology must be a force to be reckoned with the likes of the Halo Covenant in terms of scale.

I like to think that most Lombax enemies we would be going up against would pretty much lack the experience that Ratchet and Rivet have in combat but the boss fights should definitely be very difficult

@@elharvey5032 The closest example of that with common Lombax troops I can see is in Size Matters where all the Ratchet Clones had set roles(heavy shotgunner clone, fast melee clone, and a blaster clone). But I think it would/should go even further than that with some sort of "Director" in saying what enemies you would be fighting when encountering Lombax troops instead of the usual song and dance that the series has had since the start especially if there's gonna be a difficulty system in place(Hoping that would be something like Deadlock).

Gary confirmed that there are many other "Ratchets" aside from Rivet and this is where it starts getting really messy. I don't think multiverse itself goes along well with the lombax lore. We were told that lombaxes "were scattered" for obvious reasons. And then we get Rivet, who is literally Ratchet's counterpart from alternate dimension. These 2 facts simply conflict each other. I really hope Insomniac will figure out a way how to solve this problem (for example confirming that Rat and Riv originate from same place). Otherwise, Rift Apart brings an entire counterpart of missing lombaxes

It would be easier to just have Rivet be a AU version of Ratchet or part of a AU Lombax race that suffered a similar fate as Ratchet's Lombaxes, and having Angela be one of the Lombaxes that were scattered.

About Rivet and Ratchet being counterparts, the game makes it seem so... but what if it's not? They could be counterparts AS IN they grew up under different circumstances. But I do see what you mean.

I think its gonna turn out that Rivet is not only a character counterpart but a species counterpart as well. We'll get to the lombax universe only to realize that there are several alternate Lombax species from different universes fighting over the universe they seek refuge in, all distrusting the other because of each of their own "tachyon events".

I also love the idea of there being numerous AU Lombaxes in the R&C Omniverse/PlayStationVerse but I see most of them are able to live side by side and creating a Lombax utopia, that was until Tachyon returned thanks to the events of Rift Apart and started a 2nd Great War. There would be some bad Lombaxes but the good would outnumber them until again, Tachyon appeared.

I think a cool idea for the Lombax species would be after their banishment from Tacheyon, the Lombax species would settle on a new planet and create a new home, but their entire race would be politically divided. The reason would be, the Lombax's had come to the reality that their high-tech weapons could also be used against them, because of what Tacheyon was able to do with them, and if they were to survive as a species, the Lombax's would need to build and rearm their Empire with the intent of invading other worlds across entire galaxies before they would have the chance to rise against the Lombax's themselves. The Mentality of "Kill or be Killed". Of course, this idea would not sit well with many Lombax's who instead of choosing to become conquerors, would rather live in peace and solitude amongst the stars like they had done so many years before. They thought that the idea of becoming a galaxy conquering Empire would make them no better than the enemies they were already fighting. The Lombax's who would rather "kill than be killed" decided to build up their military and their arsenal for full scale war, calling themselves the Lombax Army of Supremacy (LAS) while the Lombax's who would rather live peacefully, built up their weapons for the purpose of self-defense and the Preservation of life, taking the name of the Lombax united Defense Force (LDF). The two ideas would clash to the point that the entire Lombax species would be politically cut in two. A violent Civil War would ensue turning Lombax's against each other. Brothers against brothers, sisters against sisters, husbands against wives and so on. The Civil War would be a catastrophe, leading to the deaths of billions of Lombax's on both sides. After 10 years of war the LAS would win and gain most of the victories, and force the LDF to sign a cease fire and to surrender. Those who resisted would flee the galaxy , and send their offspring to the stars and different dimensions in the hopes that they could build a better life and a better future. One of the Lombax's being Ratchet, the other being Rivet. The newly renamed Lombax Empire would continue to build their armies and invade galaxy's and dimensions until every living thing in the universe would bow at their feet.

Ever since you pointed it out, I questioned if Ratchet and Rivet are counterparts in the literal sense, meaning their similarities are more coincidence as you theorized. If so, the next game should have a genuine counterpart, say a “Ratchet” that always lived with his kind but advanced technology was made forbidden when Ratchet’s Lombaxes came only to be booted out. So Ratchet is not trusted in that dimension because of what dimension he originates from. Definitely lead to some self-confidence issues.

Doubt it. We can try but it doesn't do much. I mean Twisted Metal TV show where is the game? The companies know we like the IPs but it takes time to have a studio that will take the project on and make it. Brands matter, characters matter, money matters and which ones you can make something out of it. WipEout went to mobile with Rush yet us fans likely go to the AA sci-fi racers because Sony doesn't care enough. Push it to mobile (it's not going to be a Speed Racer movie or something to them or cinematic or crowded with mobile games like sigh) when revivals are on console and the expectations are too high on console to make money on it. So push it to mobile and a manager game way to annoy us. Gran Turismo is so bland now. It has to be appealing to normal people yet it's less replaceable, it puts too much garbage behind walls like Forza Motorsport or other dimcsde racing games and that genre is stuffed at this point. Car nostalgia and dumb career structures. There is a reason many of us go back in time to when the genre had better ideas yeah racing games had good ideas like other games now their bland. They have the IPs now because of pushing a cinematic focus. To work across mediums to make money. Easy money. Live services next, cloud and so on. They could have more family friendly games but they choose not to. It's why I don't take their nostalgia side seriously how can you be nostalgic. The IPs we used to are left behind unlike Nintendo where they do return every so often. So we do the brands or the characters but of those left behind then the ones that did make it through like Ratchet, God of War and Gean Turismo as they are the only ones that are still ongoing the rest are all new. They can mould other IPs to that but will they maybe maybe not. Ratchet has continued because Insomniac pushed for it to honestly, there is barely any kid friendly (that us adult fans love too of course because we were there when they started) IPs Sony has anymore. What Ratchet, Astro, Sackboy........ Not Ape Escape or a bunch of others. Not many. Many games wre hit and miss besides gameplay and story amazing but nope got to push a narrative got to be a movie to survive it's not about gameplay no one's cares about that in the regular space it's about stories, emotions and whatever other things these days to get a reaction out of customers Yet I never do for any of them because I can't stand them as a gameplay fan not a story one. There can be story but I mean I play games of all genres even puzzle to play them not get pushed with story and moments that make me not care just as much as movies with flip flop emotional story telling and such. It's boring. There is a reason I get bored of Sony games the gameplay is so done to death and the only push is story........... On the shelf they go. Sure trophies and side content and what not but still. They don't care enough or don't have the studio (more likely but the first part still applies) to make it is more the problem and the IPs they do care to focus on are mature to appeal to a teen/adult audience these days. The audience that makes them more money. With a cinematic formula. Less a variety like Nintendo where you have Metroid, Fire Emblem and Xenoblade for the teen/mature and the others of safe Mario and experimental projects of the other IPs more so kids/adults that enjoy the gameplay and other moments. Or Pilot Wings for tech demos or so for example as well. Which Astro fills the role of now on the Sony side then whatever Japan Studios made before or whenever London Studio made the Getaway besides other stuff. Japan Studios had a great variety of kids to adult games but since they went away and split to Bokeh for Splitterhead, Claphands for golf, among others we saw less Gravity Rush, Loco Roco, Puppeteer, ICO/Shadow of the Colossus, Siren and more. Companies priorities unfortunately. A medium focus across to books/movies/tv shows when ready and the games take do long for what expectations they know (or audience appeal to an new audience) they have to set. No small games to fill in time anymore it seems.

Your not wrong a lot of what I've loved as a kid is gone now and never coming back but soulsborne was waiting on me and when I discovered soulsborne games everything change sure they've done them to death with rip offs by this point but I'll tell ya fromsoft found a way to make those type of games push through all the slosh and gatekeeper genres like shooter games aka cod and microtransaction games to the point where soulsborne is a well sought after style of game that can still innovate is still innovating to this day I'm thankful even though the great stuff of past is getting left behind that soulsborne can appeal to all players cause it's got great gameplay and story and I know that it'll continue to grow but I'll never forget sly Jak Spyro and others that defined my childhood I'll always cherish them as warm and fond memories and I think with the way fromsoft makes their games that they get what players are really after unlike Sony and Xbox

Sadly no, even if they did make a Sly Cooper game it definitely would not be a Sly 5, the only Sly could ever comeback is through a Remake or Reboot to which vast majority of the players who will buy the game will most likely be new players to the franchise

Rift Apart messed the interdimentional travel and Lombaxes sooooo badly... But I made a whole video about it myself. Anyway: You basically did a video I was planning too haha. I always hoped that Tachion's "noble and couragepus" line could be sarcastic, about how Lombaxes persieve themselves while beeing rotten on the inside. What you described around 07:30 sounds a bit too much to me like "new kid in high school" scenerio, I'd go further, making the Lombax society completly corupt, evil if you will. They'd believe that the only way of protecting galaxy and it's inhabitors it TOTAL CONTROLL over them. I mean they are the most advanced and just after all? Believing in the Lombax race supremacy as well. Maybe beeing completly prejudiced agains robots, seeing them as nothing but objects / machines and that would add some conflict and make Clank actually be part of the story for a change? Dunno. BUT LET'S BE HONEST. We've been proven that they only take the easy way now and Lombaxes are marketable mascots - they will not make them the bad guys however more interesting would that be. Maybe "misunderstood but great anyway", but nothing bigger, that can't be fixed with a "thank you" (like every second line of dialogue in RA). Our heroes are heroes because they were BORN to be them, not because they chose to help (like in the oryginal first game) they are mechanics because they are BORN with those skills (Ratchet used to be a mechanic, so his skill could be explained that way as well, but not River who WHILE BEEING RIGHTHANDED WAS ABLE TO BUILD HERSELF... A RIGHT HAND "BECAUSE SHE'S A LOMBAX, DUH") because they were always destined for greateness, due to their role in said dimention beeing predetermined to mirror their counterparts (Choices with consequences? People changing? NEVER HEARD OF IT) or because of their bloodline.

how do we know for sure that kaden or even alister are dead? i mean what if alister sacrificing himself brought him to the lombax or some other dimension or even kaden could have been trapped and the rifts allowed them to escape kaden might wanna take revenge on the lombaxes thinking ratchet is dead or heres an idea what if alister is rivets dad? she could have been seperated from him sending rivet to that other dimension?

I mean we all here take the lore of Ratchet and Clank more seriously than any in insomniac but... I kinda think the lombax stuff is a mess, like... The lombax used the dimensionator to defeat the cragmites. How exactly? Did they just shoot a couple of dimensionals rifts at the cragmites? The dimensionator doesn't actually seem like it can stop cragmites more than any normal weapon, it just... shoots holes that suck people... Then... they raised a cragmite for some reason and somehow he didn't ever get a grasp at lombax technology, even though Tachyon was a tech guy himself, kinda hard to believe but and eventually planed to trick the lombaxes to give him access to lombax tech. What kind of lombax tech? Any of the guys in Tachyon's army seems like it uses any lombax technology nor any of it seems like a greater treath than the cragmites How did Tachyon trick the lombax to give him that tech? Azmuth says that he showed with amazing plans and tech stuff better than the lombax could do. Once again, how? Anything on Tachyon's army seems like it is technology impressive at all considering the setup we are in, not to impress the greatest inventors of the galaxy at least. Then lombaxes decided to just... flee? Why? Why don't send Tachyon to another dimension just like the cragmites? What happened so the dimensionator could be used as a weapon against the cragmites but not against Tachyon? Did they just say "Nah, it is not worth it, let's move out of here" and let the galaxy with Tachyon causing havoc just like that? Why? I find really hard to believe that a single lombax can defeat all Tachyon's empire + cragmites and a whole planet of lombaxes with amazing tech and a dimensionator could not stop Tachyon at that point, he just a revolt, he didn't even had an empire at that point! Like you could give Azmuth and alpha disruptor and he would take care of Tachyon himself. Why the hell did Kaden and Ratchet stayed behind? For me the lombaxes are a bunch of weirdos that doesn't care about anything but keep doing wacky stuff with no real purpose. Just see all their tech, is random stuff with no aim. And they basically entered a war against the cragmites for no real reason, created a tool to defeat then and them as a new war started they just fleed, pretty random. Maybe the dimensionator is actually more than we currently know, like maybe you could use it more specifically, maybe something like just aim a whole species to a new dimension, and maybe someone decided on their own all the lombaxes (with some exceptions) were gonna left that dimension and everyone just vanished without a chance to discuss it. But that's a lot of maybes and I don't think anyone has though about something like that so...

I mostly see Tachyon being the main antagonist in a Lombax Dimension game BUT I can also see evil Lombaxes being in the game as well. If there are indeed multiple AU Lombaxes in the Lombax Dimension I can see some Lombaxes being more evil then others, like those who are bandits or raiders to a point other Lombaxes reasonably marked them as criminals/enemies of the Lombax government. These kind of Lombaxes could make Tachyon hire them to aid him in his 2nd Great War against the good Lombaxes which his old self would never do, but along with changing since TOD he likes the idea of Lombax on Lombax violence. My favorite idea though is a subplot where we find out a Lombax "ally" who has been aiding Ratchet and co. throughout the game (who could also have lived in Ratchet's universe before having to leave it) has been secretly working WITH Tachyon to prolong the war, as its been the perfect excuse for the secretly evil Lombax to spread his belief that all Lombaxes should never return to their respective universes, as he believes those universes don't deserve all the good things the Lombaxes bring to it. I also had the idea of some tension coming from a Lombax who is the girlfriend/wife of Alister Azimuth who gets mad when Ratchet reveals to her he died and everything surrounding that moment.

@@VtnVivi Thanks :) Looking back, previous games like TOD, ACIT, and Rift Apart have had multiple enemy factions to fight against so I could see this happening. Heck a recent gameplay vid about IG's Spider-Man 2 showed how HUGE and more improved the game is going to be compared to the last 2 games, so I can now see the next R&C game being bigger then Rift Apart and thus allow more stuff like that to be in the game, which it should.

I've been into this idea of the Lombaxes having a dark side for a while, because I feel like there's a lot of story potential for it that could challenge the characters. It could be as simple as being stuck in whatever dimension has caused them to grow isolated and paranoid, maybe even a fanatical desire to try and reclaim what was lost from them at any cost (yes, I'm basically describing Lombax fascism, lol), but it could even go as far as the narrative we've been told not being what really happened, and that the Lombaxes engaged in a lot of historical revisionism and rewrote their own history so they'd be the shining technologically advanced heroes against the evil warlike cragmites when things are more complicated in reality. I'd still have cragmites be the "bigger" villains because what we've seen of them show they were clearly a messed up empire, but war is rarely so black and white. The Lombaxes could have their own agenda. They were clearly a very powerful race, and maybe this is just my own mistrust in authority, but the more power someone holds, the more skeletons they have in their closet. Something also worth considering would be perhaps maybe if for example you have this "Lombax supremacist" faction as I'd call it, you could have a character like Rivet being less experience actually feeling tempted to join with the promise of feeling at home with her race, while Ratchet, someone who's seen and experienced more and literally was only convinced to find them because he finally met another of his kind after years, is more weary of these grand promises, causing an ideological rift between them. The big problem is even if I'd love a story like this... I feel like Insomniac wouldn't be interested in it, and I don't know how many fans would either. I feel like they'd want something more simplistic and marketable, with clear cut heroes and villains, based on their output. The stories in their games tend to be simpler and have easy to root for heroes with clear goals against villains. Something more feel good instead of deep uncomfortable reflections on historical revisionism, fascism and the ideological divides that are growing stronger in our society today, lol. Not saying they couldn't try doing this, I just don't think they'd be interested in doing so based on their outlook with their games, and it DEFINITELY wouldn't be as marketable, which is the other big thing.

Its an interesting brain thought but that's all. There's this one thing that will keep Ratchet secure even if other Lombaxes happen to be evil. He vanquished Tachyon. Even if people will resent Kaden for any reason, Ratchet's single act of triumph over their biggest threat will be enough to gurantee him at least the respectable status among his kind. And remember: that's just a what if What if Lombaxes turn out to be evil. What if they not? What if they are indeed what we know about them from Alister and Tachyon? That's all I had to say. I can't imagine a race of saviors who willingly took on the rule of peace keepers in the galaxy as evil. If anything, cold and distant from what we know our easygoing Ratchet and Rivet for. Or clumsy Angela. Or even tragic Alister.

I think whatever Lombaxes think of Ratchet, they will probably start thinking it only after he shows up to them. Because I would say that most of the Lombaxes don't even know about Ratchet's existence. At most, they may know he exists because his mother told them. But they know nothing beyond that. If even that. Because there is no reason really that one person should inform entire race about such thing, and they put a huge significance on it. Other than there being some prophecy or whatnot, but I hope writers won't go this route.

Can you make a theory about Earth because i wonder if it and humans exist and if so, where? Especially since Earth and Dan Johnson was mentioned in the museum in Into The Nexus. Just makes me curious. I'm wondering if it might be the Polaris Galaxy since in real life there's a star called Polaris, and since the museum is located in the Polaris Galaxy and the guy doesn't mention where Earth is located, makes it kinda sound like Polaris... I would love to see such a video! :) i mean sure it's just an easter egg, but what if it's more than that... I also find this interesting since in legends material of Star Wars, earth in located in the galaxy, part of the Outer Rim in the Fath Sector, in the Middle Top of the Star Wars galaxy, and Palpatine's Empire ruling the Star Wars galaxy and Tachyon ruling Polaris is similar, so it would be really interesting to have a theory on Earth in the Ratchet and Clank universe ;)

Well I have predictions for the new game of ratchet and clank first rivet was relaxing at the pond in the lombax dimansion as kit came and they both goes back to ratchet and clank as they are trying find the lombaxes as the emperor's assistant returns and takes clank kit and ratchet away as the emperor's assistant explains she'll need them as rivet now have to stop her uhhhh that predictions id kinda cringe.. uh no it's just a prediction but I think it's kinda cringe.

I love these concepts you have but I have one big problem. Insomniac went from the serious storytelling to this childish whatever so that kids of the newer generation also play the games. Because of that, I don't think they'd go this deep with the story unfortunately. They turned Ratchet into this anxious cute main character that's loveable by kids and abandoned the direction they went with ACiT for example. They even changed his design for the worse in my opinion.

Ok, Vivi. I'm just had to be the one to break the party, not because I don't want to see that kind of scenario, quite the opposite actually, but we need to remember for whom this series is targeted. We, the people who grew up with this series are warranted only a second thought. Just look at rift apart, there's just enough fan service to keep us satiated, but not enough to actually have an impact on the overall story (Heck I'm starting to belive that Ratchet suffers from Samurai Jack Syndrome). As good as evil Lombax sounds, the possibilty of it is slim, 'cuz dem kids mate (Nothing wrong with that, but it is getting out of hand in certain social circles). So no, as much as I want a darker and more intricate story from this franchise, I don't think I'll ever gonna get it. Fan fic it is I guess...

Very likely they could be 'saviours of the universe ' or what the ToD line is but are they really. There may be good Lombaxes and may be ones that split off we don't hear about and only the good they did overshadows the other path ones. Other factions. The outcasts. The Thieves and pirates. We got Ratchet clones in Size Matters (what about if that happens again but for other Lombaxes to make the perfect species to our way the ones that always get seen as the biggest threat and saviors for some reason blocking something else some universe take over, some oh we want to build this nope got to have Lombaxes build it. Oh we have to be engineers what if we don't want to be, so many possibilities). What if see many that reflects other types of roles. Do we go back in time and see the deeper side of difyOmbax families and alliances and split offs. That's the stuff we should see but we don't as they want to make the series happy and focus on key characters but Tools set these things up as possible even if more Tachyon sure or Alister on Crack but we never see more when we need to. Were 5 games (Tools, Quest, Crack, Nexus, Rift) in and barely know anything really that's milking the series right there get a move on. Actually tell us deeper or get to the Lombaxes or the past Fastoon in time come on. Give us another group of Lombaxes. Besides a modern Angela design maybe...... Whatever just get the story moving. Alistair, Angela and Rivet we know about but what's true of the Lombaxes and Cragmites really. Were they art engineers, were they thieves, were they ones that seek the heroism or something. Did they end up in situations and were seen as saviours/chosen ones. Who knows. They could be anything in personality, species planning and goals. Whichever Lombax was known to start the way they are seen now even if disappeared. It may not be just Tachyon. That and why Insomniac made Rift Apart apart a safe game and the message of the game doesn't fly with me. It's too nostalgic, too safe, too multiverse, too boring to do anything good just be safe, emotional to old fans but for us that seeked better gameplay than Crack in Time nope we didn't get that at all, which sucks.

In summary, Rift Apart feels like an introductory game to newcomers. It's pretty to look at, fun to play and simplistic story with an open ending. You said something about the what's true of the Craigmites and the Lombaxes. Makes me think back to how they found Tachyon's egg and raised him. If the Craigmites were so ''feared'', why bring one in the family? Could be out kindness or... something else.
