spider-man, optimus prime, several video game characters, captain america, legolas, rick grimes, arthur morgan, daredevil, katniss everdeen there are many heroes in todays times that kids look up to, many of them being more realistic and in-depth when it comes to morality and struggle, how they should keep fighting anyways. They are also better presented in dramatic tenses.

As a kid born in the Deep South in 1949 our heroes were family, teachers, Sunday school and librarians. Books from the Carnegie library were our entrance to whole wide world.
