@@mitchconner403 And? Hes a consumer and buyer, everybody can ask new feature in the game, and a couple of annimations that last a second, wouldnt be much complicated for them, we put our Money on the devs to do their actual Job

@@MAXJULOU what Hinterland is doing right now is code refactoring and modernization. This is all backend code work Frontend code is the pretty animations, but i can’t work without a sustainable backend that is open to extension and up to date with the latest software When Hinterland started, it was just like 5 people making a video game. Now it is a fully fledged studio. More people means more overhead and more management, which means slower development time compared to a small group of people, but it more people produce better software if the team worked together efficiently Therefore, the existing legacy code needs to be refactored to work with the latest software dependencies Additionally, this code probably did not follow object oriented programming principles and was likely statically typed. There has been many advancements in how code is written since this game was first started in 2014 So you have a team of devs going through 10 years of code and re-making it to modern standards. Once they do that, the code will be reusable and easily extendable for more features. They will use that code base for the next Long Dark game, and doing so which will allow faster development and allow the animations that you so desperately crave

I want to say that these are cool animations for a game that positions itself as a REALISTIC survival simulator. but the knife does not seem to fit in the animation where you can open cans by the hook or just take from it with your hands. but in general, this should be in the game from the beginning because it's just an incredible level of immersion and atmospherics.

Пройшов Alone in Windstorm і вирішив пошукати ембієнт який почув в моді, але наткнувся на ваш канал. Чесно кажучи, мод шикарний, це відчуття покинутості та самотності досі сидить в мені, атмосфера виживання в суворих умовах давить на тебе і в одночас зігріває. Хотілося б мені бачити такою всю росію як в моді. 9/10

This plus the gloves/sleeves that you wear would be so awesome. Factoring in different tools to open containers/eat from them or the 'smashing open' animation would really sell the desperation and immersion!

I feel lk e the long dark should have longer ones, less like tarkov and more like fully fleshed mini cutscenes. The game is peaceful, so there’s no rush, and eating and drinking already takes a substantial amount of time.
