After surviving The Long Dark for 500 Days on Stalker mode...it's time to try the same on Interloper. There will be no firearms, looted hatchets or knives. We must make our own defenses and tools in order to survive this self-imposed challenge. It's time to see if we achieve victory or die a horrible death like everyone else on Great Bear Island.

The Long Dark Interloper is the hardest mode in Sandbox mode (The other difficulties are Pilgrim, Voyager and Stalker). The game describes that this mode is "For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness Survival challenge."
In The Long Dark Interloper difficulty, you start with the most minimal resources, supplies are very scarce and Wildlife is rare, but it is more dangerous
- Interloper was a new game difficulty, introduced in v.364.
- The world becomes more hostile to you as you play. Global temperature drops, wildlife and fuel resources become more scarce, and Blizzards become more frequent.
- Apart from the Hacksaw and Hammer, which spawn rarely in the world, you need to create all your own improvised tools (ex. Hatchets, Knives, etc.).
- The best Clothing and Food items do not spawn.
- Wolves are more rare, but also more deadly.
- Wildlife becomes more rare over time.
- There are no firearms in the world.

i said it before and i say it again: that whole cabin fever thing sucks: "i cant sleep indoors..." just step out into the -40° blizzard and tell me again that you cant sleep indoors... a sprained ankle... what else is new... now it makes sense that you had this problems with the weather without proper equipment... workboots... sure... of course the missing underwear is also a huge factor... gotta go out looting for that. anyways great progress and im looking forward to the next one. keep up the great work mate

Sprains are extremely annoying in this game. I used to not craft 'Improvised Crampons', but I find those are worth the effort every time. Also I believe your FOV in the game is at 80, as by default. Don't know why videogames do it to you, I always increase FOV to 100. It's a great run overall. Could use better clothing though, deerskin boots and pants would do nicely, along with a warmer coat. Oh, and if I am not wrong, you cannot have 2 layers of 'Improvised Insulation', just letting you know

The bear isn't going to spawn at the lake. The bears and moose spawn at static locations that vary from run to run. The other bear in ML is either by the abandoned lookout or the hunting stand close by. Except for the few moose that randomly spawn with no markings.

Ive died by a bear on stalker trying to kill it at the cabin (the one he tore the shelf and chair down) a couple of months ago.

When you make a bear skin bedding, can it be used in the snow shelter? I'm not sure if it'll work with the bear skin too like the old bedding. I love that you have a Frenchie..I love those dogs. Some can be very silly, but all are so cute. I just love animals! Lol😂❤❤ 23:07 23:07 23:07
