So- I’m kinda guessing here- but it seems like Rudiger’s machine inadvertently created the Glimmer fog. Because when you turn the Machine back on (or whatever you do)- you can see Glimmer fog emanating from it in the room the machine is in. Many of the symptoms I hear when talking about the LM outbreak kinda coincides with things like Insomnia- the affliction you get from too much Glimmer fog exposure. Doesn’t make much sense though how we- the player, don’t just die like all the rest when we’re exposed to it. Then again- The Security Chief DID dampen the machine’s worst effects, and it’s also been fourty years since the events of the Far Territory happened, so it isn’t too far fetched to imagine we- the player, would only suffer the minor effects of the machine at that point.

You pretty much guessed it. The machine was damaged by the Security Chief, so it wasn't capable of harming us like it did the others.

I thought of an Interesting theory, now this may sound a but tinfoil hat like What if our character is immune to the machine and gained some sort of secret superpower from touching it, notice how our character touched the machine than it turned on and knock them out, what if our character recieved a monumental radiation blast that just re writes his DNA and in the final part 6 we may see our character gain some sort of super power as a reward for completing part 6 such as immunity from all illness infections or maybe being able to run faster

No. This is definitely not what is happening. This is way too far fetched for this to happen in this game. I don't know why our player fainted. That is still a mystery. Also, our character is definitely not immune. If the security chief had not broken the machine, we would have started developing the symptoms after some time.

Probably not. It really wouldn't serve a new purpose. They are better off using their resources on new content and bug fixing.

@@ToastyBits this game is alot like DayZ good for jumpscares and vibes getting stoned but in terms of actual game play mechanics yeah these games are a little under par. Kind of does get old without new content updates, the whole cougar and new map update is amazing but you know they messed up cougar by making it just teleport instead of being like a normal critter
