Great achievement, and world class support by the Benna's family! The dude went to their rescue with supplies when one of the support crews bailed on them! That is priceless!

Awesome run to these two athletes. This is a wonderful story. I must also say this wouldn't of happened if not for the dedication of JB. Him running back up the trail, unplanned, at 10,000+ feet, with a bunch of supplies for these two, is amazingly clutch. Very, very inpressed, and a huge part of the run.

Man, that couple who was their support was soo good to them! Dropped their plans to do this first off, and then just did a really awesome job. Is that how this community is as a whole? I love that!!

Thank you for mentioning John Rosendahl. I knew him many years ago. He was an incredible climber, athlete, educator and person. I still have a pair of shoes he gave me, that legendary climber John Bachar gave to him. Sure wish he were still here today to enjoy the successes of the next generation.

My parents and their friends backpacked over some of those passes on a 100 mile through trip. They took photos but those are long gone. Wonderful to see those painful acres of rock, impossibly blue skies (not the pale blue version!), and incredible stars. Good movie. Great achievement.

HI Hal, we both did W.S. in 2001. My wife and I sat at the next table to you and your family in a restaurant in north Tahoe. I believe it was your first time to run it. I backpacked the JMT as a section hiker so I saw all of it. You need to go back and see the rest of it in daylight!

Every film has a certain character and feel to it. This is a really good film. I'll watch it a few times. Well done all around to the remarkable athletes, and to the Bennas for production.

So impressed with the ultramarathon community. Just entering my life into the ultra community and learning a lot. I have 2 50 mile ultras this year. I started late in life. I couldn’t even imagine someday doing a 100 miler.

I don't get the point where the support guy just left, without seeing the runners?? Why do one just leave?
@journeyfilm4 жыл бұрын
He did not know them, but had just volunteered online to help them. There was no cell phone service and they were 8 hours later than their projected time, so he waited as long as he thought was reasonable and then assumed that they had dropped out.

Good vid but music spoils it. Also not sure why pending fatherhood has anything to do with running or why it had to be mentioned by Wolfe as nobody interested and just sounds like emotional crap. A bit like drivers who have stickers saying baby on board - who cares a life is a life regardless of age.
