Amazing. Anything with John Kelly gets a like from me, he could just be sat eating his dinner and I'll be content. Such a humble man and I've been a fan ever since I first heard of him falling out of the trees with a bin bag on at the barkley's.

I cannot imagine what it was going through his mind in the final moments after that descent. So much grit and determination. I think that the idea of being back with his family was one of the most powerful reasons to finish. For them and for him, and finally able to get that well deserved rest. Amazing achievement John!

Probably the best video of it’s type that I’ve seen. Not only an amazing achievement but John’s words about challenges, the sweet spot and motivation rings true with me too. Martin Stone’s words at the end were very touching too.

When I was a child I dreamed I’m was Mickey Mantle. As an Old Man (68) I dream I’m a Ultra Runner. People like John, Courtney, Dylan and many more like me motivated to keep running. When I’m injured or feeling my age. I’ll watch one of these videos or listen to a Podcast and I can’t wait to get back out there.

I know I CAN do most of the things I challenge myself to do. The question is, how WELL can I do them. I've hikes 3,000 miles but how many miles can I do in one month? Even at 66 years old I keep getting faster little bits at a time and I did not even start hiking till I was 63. But I wont do anything that's likely to break my body. Not at my age. I want to keep at it as LONG as I can not break myself doing one event. I love hiking but it's not the most important thing in life. I like trail running so that's my next goal . . . to do a half marathon. I can already run/walk a half marathon but I would like to run the whole thing and I don't care what the time will be on the first try. I could not run more than 50 yards last year, now I can run a mile or two (depending on terrain) non stop.

19:05 .... but it doesn't have to be self destructive in the process. Actually there should be a focus on non harm. Try to see how much love you can fathom in the span of 5 days instead of how much you can beat your legs up. How much good can you squeeze into a week? How much peace? Mhm... hope you'll see the folly of your current course one day ..

Someone pointed me to this, and while I would normally ignore trolls, you've come here to post slander on a video of one of my proudest moments that I hope will be here to view for many years to come. Jasmin and I are highly supportive of one another and I have never been anything but complimentary and in awe of her incredible achievements including her Spine performance (*the* record, period). I honestly have no idea what I could have said that you could even twist into that comment. I'm not sure who you are or what you're angry about, but I truly hope you find some means of lifting yourself up rather than using baseless internet attacks to try to bring down people you obviously know nothing about.
