It's hard to explain the satisfaction and joy a man of the earth gets from tillage. I can smell the robust earthy fragrance just watching the chisel plow work. Thanks Ryan, Plow on!

That chisel is about half the size needed for that tractor. Overkill is underrated. Depending on what kind of ripper you have to pull, and guessing by y’all part of the world it’s tongue pull. But that tractor with 3 point should pull a 9 shank ripper 12-14 inches like a champ with the draft set accordingly.

That's a Mulch Tiller, or coulter chisel. They are hard pulling tools, and every horse you can get is better.

I plant all my corn with a 4430 and 8 row kinze using Trimble ez steer system running wass, I can’t even come close to hand steering myself compared to what it does. And never been more satisfied shelling corn planted with AB straight lines

do you use a mouldboard plow? im kind of new to farming and have a small acreage i plant sweet corn in. can you do a video on the pattern you plow in? ive got a couple of dead rows (really deep dead rows) and curious to learn before the spring. Thanks!

How deep do you usually chisel plow?
@johngordon65262 жыл бұрын
neat. we have a chisle plow , but we only use it when we're bringing up trash to pick up before go full into no-till that year. After we've taken out a row of trees, we run that, pick it up, run it again, pick it up. (it's an old old version of chisel plow). ( from N Missouri)

nice video Ryan. you should think about putting weights on chisel plow to keep better ground contact. most guys i see have 6 on each side. deere has a place made for them on frame. good luck.

Disk section could use some grease. I know most dont come with fittings. We drilled and tapped ours to help quiet everything down and reduce wear. She dies a nice job tho 👍

The difference in a good farmer and an ordinary farmer is the good farmer gets it on even if that means working all night. The ordinary farmer has to wait on the weather because they don't want to work that hard.

Should add the KZbin farmers in your comparison, real farmers don’t make KZbin videos
