Got the stage 1+ fitted on Monday at AET and love it, haven't even listened to any music since as I just love listening to the turbo flutter :D

as i said, i love mine matey.. not as big of a jump as i was expecting but thats because the only other car that ive had mapped was really undertuned from standard so i gained 75hp which is massive compared to the fiesta!

the peron stage 1+ is 199hp at the wheels. to get 240hp u need the stage 2 peron map.

+Stuart Hall yeah it's 199 at the wheels approximately and 235 240 at the fly stage 1+ that's what I'm saying dude :)

1+ is closer to 220-235, no car would pull over 235 on stage 1+. And 235 is lucky haha. I used to have 1+ and it's no doubt fun as hell though!

AET Performance are near me and do the Peron stuff and also have a dyno and a 306hp demo car which is a hoot to go out in even if you don't like crackle maps

yeah dude AET are brilliant i think the voodoo car is closer to 315hp now!.. couldn't recommend them enough.. im part of the AET Elite Club and will be on stand with them at ford fair :D :D

I will be taking the next steps and going the Collins route they could answer all my questions unlike some and AET have only done one thing so far for me and i wasn't over impressed sorry pal

Sounds like you were underwhelmed by it. Everyone in ST owners group says going from standard to Peron 1+ is a huge difference.

Richard Hurr I’m used to fast cars mate, so the small jump in power isn’t that obvious. However the drive ability of it is amazing. Just because it doesn’t feel quick to me doesn’t mean that it’s not quick (because it is) I think it’s fantastic both software and hardware and personally wouldn’t go anywhere else for any tuning :)

Cars&Co. Ah right. Also people say you obviously get used to the power increase so when you map back to standard the car feels sluggish by comparison. I have Collins CP2 map myself and although I wouldn't say it totally transformed the car as that would be an exaggeration, it was certainly very noticeable, especially in second gear with the torque limiter gone. Plus the car just seems to pull harder right to the redline. My mate said it was definitely very noticeably quicker when I took him out in it too. If I went back to my standard map I think I'd definitely be like "uhhh" lol.

Richard Hurr yeah I’d say that’s a very fair comment and would completely agree :) if I were to flash it back to standard I’d defiantly notice the difference. Especially since I’m Peron STG2 now :)

Nice post Jack but really not sure about your thoughts and feelings over the torque. Maybe you have something different . My son has the same as you say and the peron remap totally changed the car on every level.. it’s an awesome upgrade., if you want a smile from ear to ear. But be careful, it will bite you. I have zero bias to say this other than maybe jacks other car is a Lamborghini. The peron can be driven gently, don’t floor it in 1st 2nd , apply the gas progressively in 3rd and 4th 5th 6th you can nail it. Anything else and you will wriggle down the road like a snake .. highly recommend the Peron . But also the correct insurance, it’s costly but essential

This Peron map is some serious stuff, just got it done today and it feels like a completely different car. I don’t know how you only feel a small difference, it’s literally made my passengers nearly sh*t their pants 😂

Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like best of both worlds? Lots of low end torque for much better day to day driving but also high horsepower for when your gunning it. I know you was kind of hating on it because it doesn't "feel" as fast as you was probably hoping (which you should get dynod ASAP by the way) but from those points above it does sound best of both worlds?

yeah its brilliant mate i love it!, it doesn't feel like much of a difference but the drivability has improved ten fold. im not hating on it at all buddy i think its great!

Swap the factory intercooler out for a larger unit.. Massive difference on my MP215

So if you tune your car yourself by using your own lap top like you did you can basically take all your parts and the person map off and put it all back to the standard set up so when it comes to selling your car in the future you can have it all running full standard again?

It's nice to hear an honest opinion about this stuff. I'm thinking of getting the Mountune 215 kit, and getting a miltek catback and am looking into Peron the same as you.

Peron is really good matey, as i said i wouldn't change it. i feel as though you get more for your money than you do with Mountune! definitely look into it :)

The more research I do, the more I want to get a stg 2 kit, to get circa 230-250hp. But I may have to wait until the warranty is out, before doing that :)

Liking the vid mate:) As you said you got more low down torque but do get that extra pushing of the car in the higher speeds where it wants to go with the tuning, and not everyone exceeds over 130mph. If you were to simply drive around town and so on, with none or barely any motorway miles, would opting to get a tune be worth that money if you see where I'm getting at, as you may not need it due to the torque not being significantly changed. And a second question which is a random one. If you bought a standard stock Fiesta ST, would changing only the down pipe make the card louder from the outside? if so how much?

Cas B hey dude, I briefly mentioned in the video it has Improved the drivability loads just driving around town id still get it tuned if that's all I was doing :) And with regards to the downpipe I don't have one fitted yet but with my previous car it made it louder, not massively but it did if you want more noise go for a cat back :)

i have the mountune mp215 more than likely not much difference between the two performance wise.. but if your like me and bought i brand new fiesta ST that £100 difference makes an huge difference because of warranty and the mountune knowledge with Ford.
