This series was amazing. Perfect casting and is as close to how things probably went down in that time period as anything I’ve seen. Perfect mix of fact and fiction. If there’s any propaganda it would be the contentious relationship of CIA and FBI. But it’s probably pretty close to the truth. They showed pieces of the 9/11 Commission throughout. And the way everyone would pass the buck made me sick. It did then and it does now. Even more now with the benefit of hindsight. In short, just watch it. Stop whatever is is you’re watching now. And see this.

Re the 10:15 mark: February 1998 bin Laden issued fatwa against "Jews and crusaders", August 1998 was Kenya bombing on 7yr anniversary of US military presence in Saudi Arabia... the subsequent response from the US (missile strikes on terrorist targets in Sudan and Afghanistan) occurred on 20AUG98. February '98 I enlisted into the military as a high school Jr. 20AUG98 I graduated Army basic training and was on the bus to St. Louis airport when the news broke of the US missile strikes as response to the embassy bombings. 9/11 I was stationed at Ft. Carson, CO adjacent to Pikes Peak where NORAD is HQ'd. I had, like most other Americans, presumed 9/11 was impossible or at least would've been prevented in time by those at the top (Pentagon/FBI/CIA). Little did we know in our ignorance that those 3 may as well have been in their own bubble hoping for the best. Thankfully, for the past 14yrs I've been a part of a place that is directly responsible for preventing another 9/11. Moral of the story: be the change you want to see. Cliche but it's true.

Also, 13:40 mark, Pearl Harbor basically stemmed from 2 radar technicians having their initial response as most likely an incoming Japanese attack batted down by their OIC as instead "a B-17 formation". This of course was not the case but by the time it was confirmed as incorrect assumption, it was too late.

The verse (ayah) 256 quoted «There is no compulsion in religion» has been abrogated, rendered null and void, invalidated (al-nâsikh wa-l-mansûkh) by the verse legalizing dhimmitude by allah himself but it is still used to trick non-muslims into thinking that islam is a tolerant religion. And you can lie as much as you need using taqiyya, tawriya, kitman, muruna, etc. If the methods used to lie bear specific names it must be encouraged and practiced religiously.

It is too bad. I really appreciated that series until I realized it was not about USA but more about islam propaganda. I will read Lawrence Wright's book all the same to find out if the book is more impartial. At least the documentary «The Man who knew» makes us want to know more about John P. O'Neill.

Second how is this Islamic propaganda? I didn’t find anything compassionate about Al-Qaeda members sitting around talking about murdering American citizens like they were talking about a football game😒
