The Lord Nelson, Ban Chang

Hello my farangutan friends and sawadee khap puan puan khun Thai! On our trip to Koh Chang and Koh Kood we broke the trip home up by staying at The Lord Nelson in Ban Chang. This boutique hotel offers se and mountain view rooms at a reasonable price.
The beach is not great here. There is a lot of litter. Quite a lot of old toothbrushes from some inexplicable reason? However, The Nelson does have a pool if you fancy a dip.
As accommodation goes it does feel quite "expatty", which is to be expected with the name, but I enjoyed that for a change, and I loved all the maritime decoration and Nelson related paintings.
If I were to rate the rooms and hotel I would give a respectable 3.5 out of 5. Being in the mountain view rooms we had a lot of noise from a local bar that kept us up. That was annoying. That and the beach would bring the score down for me.
There are western dishes on offer and cocktails. The bar also feels like a pub bar. Certainly, worth a stop off if you're in the area for food and drink or accommodation. - (TIP: Go for the sea view rooms if available as they'll be quieter, I'm guessing)
