Galadriel misstates the situation. She says, "The ring came to the creature Gollum." THIS IS INACCURATE! "The Ring came to the Stoor Hobbit named Smeagol." The ring's evil powers morphed Smeagol into the creature Gollum. At Bilbo's party: "Eat, drink, and be Merry!" (from Meriadoc Brandybuck!) I don't understand the reactors' amazement when Bilbo disappears after putting on The One Ring! After all, didn't Isuldur go invisible earlier in the movie when he wore TOR? Big difference between "Sauron was defeated" and "Sauron was destroyed"; the line in the movie is the former (@22:34). Hobbits are also called Halflings, meaning they're half the size of regular humans. Gandalf did give Frodo info about The Ring: (1) keep it secret, (2) keep it safe, (3) never put it on ... can't get plainer than that! "Be at peace, Son of Gondor." A fitting goodbye to a brave warrior who overcame a temporary weakness. Sam is Frodo's GARDENER!!!
