The reality is that no matter how many bad things a company does behind the scenes, most people only care about the quality of the product being sold. The general public is quick to forget wrongdoings, and apologies are nothing but smoke and mirrors to put them on ease. The ai is so much faster to write the right words and pretty statements, there is literally no reason not to use it.

There are large sections of tolkiens world left up to the imagination, including the eastern dwarven clans. The devs took the creative license to make some black, which is fair enough because it doesn't really contradict any established lore as far as i know and modernises the games universe for a wider audience.

Out of curiosity. Why? Its a store. You buy what you want and then go back to ignoring it until you need something else. Its not like epic has done anything societally or morally wrong so why boycott them? As for why game devs, especially smaller studios like to release on epic? Money. Literally just money. Stylized graphics is more forgiving and easier to make than realistic. Plus for a game set in fantasy world it works better.

@@battlefront8013 what are you on about Stylized graphics are way more difficult to implement, it's literally taking realistic graphics and adding a style to it, trying to keep it all coherent and nice to look at You need an artist that understands what shapes define an object and that can figue out a palette that defines the style Realistic graphics require work as well, but you can just reference real life, you don't need as much study and interpretation Stylized aren't even "more forgiving" A weird small out of place detail will be much more visible on a flat coloured or simple shaped character than on a grungy hyper detailed realistic one
