I wish that after we complete the story some npc would just do stuff in the hearth or anywhere even if they dont have much purpose , just for the ambiance. Or even a dwarf who survived alone before us and that we encounter during our journey.

I play single player so NPCs would be better than all the cosmetic improvements. Even a warrior goat i could ride or one i could milk. Finding NPC's who were also trapped/stranded or captured by Orcs during the cave in would be a good improvement.

Agree. I personally find that every game which offers Armors with both Stats and Designs should have transmog-system so you can craft builds but also your favorite looks/designs. Nice they add it for this game!

I mean if they added stuff like traps and defense systems of some way, so you can defend your bases in a much more fun way, and on top of that, after you beat the story line they could give you like 5 npc dwarves that like spread across the whole map.. as you check on there areas one by one, they either help you or you help them finish refurbishing the halls. Once a hall is done, more npc dwarves automatically start spring into that finished hall.. that would be dope, gives it a chance to be more difficult end game in certain cases.. he'll at that point even extended story telling is possible.. lol I already platinumed the game and have already had it for like 2 months tops

One of my favorite games, thoroughly enjoyed playing through this with friends, really captured the essence of what it means to be a Dwarf. I'd say the building needs a bit of work, for one being able to rotate items before placing on more than 90 degree snaps is pretty important. Furniture needs to be useable, let our dwarves have a seat please.

Oh it's so good to find a decent Lord of the rings game in 2024, I want to know EVERYTHING about this game, subbed! Thank you for covering this! Oh I'm so eager for this even more so now I've got a physical edition ordered in at my local game shop, so this game, Empire of Ants and the Soul Reaver remaster and I'm good till next year now, it's getting increasingly difficult finding enjoyable and compelling games, I'm so very grateful to learn about this game and feel something I haven't felt in a while for a game... The Excitement in looking forward to play it, and I can't thank the devs enough for this game

Just beat the game lastnight with my friends. Had an absolute blast with this gem Obtaining all the achievements. Just wish we actually got to go outside and recolonise. I will still be working on my base. But this games has so much potential! The singing was a highlight for me. It never got old and it showed you guys cared !

I just found out about this game on a sale. As a huge LOTR fan, waiting not so patiently for the The Shire, finding this is such a christmas blessing! I was looking for videos to learn more about my blind purchase while it downloads and stumbled here. I'm so glad to have seen the level of care that has been out into it. Developers seem very attuned to the desires of the players. The added "cozy vibe" of the Yule celebration has me so excited. After reading thru comments, I wholeheartedly second the notion of adding a companion of sorts as I will be playing alone, and that sounds wonderful. Can't wait to play in roughly 34 minutes! 😊

love this game, actually do wish there was like a proper endgame where you could essentially re-colonise Moria, start having roaming groups of dwarves or dwarven camps or just other dwarves you can make rebuild certain sections, if our character becomes the lord of Moria it makes sense if we could then start to develop Moria, implement the same wave defense stuff too

I think the last kind of update to the base game that we need is a NPC system. The game Enshrouded also is doing that in it's last update if im not mistaken. Would be super super cool, well implemented ofc! The next is an expansion.... Gundabad...... Iron hills.... Whatever ;)

A lot of people mention having npc's or an npc companion. I would like an npc dwarf that you can put down in a spot while you are online only, and he slowly tinks away in his area bringing all the structures in his vicinity slowly back to 100% repaired. The npc dwarf could be leveled in that his repair radius keeps increasing. Would be cool to see repair scaffolding and ladders temporarily appear under your dwarf as he repairs hard to reach places which would be non-obstructive and you yourself can clip through. He could even slowly repair your structures when they are damaged in battle. Have you noticed the keyword is "slowly"? For example, a multiple section pillar where the base section is damaged down to 37%, it takes an entire minute per percentage point while you're online for your dwarf to repair the base - 63 minutes. Not to mention a dwarf that can defend his area with relatively low damage output, can be killed and be revived, or self revives on his own sleeping mat.

Could you maybe make the days longer, and the buffs actually last more than a few feet past your door (sometimes they don't even last while I'm trying to apply other buffs)? I never feel like I get very far before I have to turn around and go back, and I find the buffs pretty much useless because they don't last very long. The ability to grow cranberries was a must, so glad to see that happen.

I'd say that this game was a 7/10 for me. It's good but had some strange issues like certain wood not growing back. This meant having to go to a different world to collect wood to take back. It was a strange oversight. Now that all the wood is more available the game has moved up to an 8/10. Thank you so much for keeping this game going. Haven't seen dedication like this since No Man's Sky.

Any chance for sandbox maps to be larger? Currently every zone is super tiny and feels like we are rushing through item tiers with constant need to upgrade while breezing through zones, instead of meaningful exploration.

@ in my opinion, the story mode is more or less balanced, and most of frustration doesn’t come from map sizes but insufficient element of random and variety in biomes. The rapid progress through equipment tiers can also be felt, but not as acutely. Ah, and combat is really unresponsive and lacking, especially if ping in coop isn’t perfect.

You can rename waypoints on consoles. Make a habit of being near your waypoint you want to rename (If you're unsure of the exact location). Open the map. Look on the left panel for the closest object to you, it should be your waystone if you're standing next to it. Press A/X, choose edit. Rename it.

You probably have a long list of items to work on for LOTR return to moria but a couple weird issues that really should be fixed: 1) Add sort capability in your storage (chest, etc.). It's very time consuming manually moving things around. 2) Fix the Loom so it has a QUEUE. It's silly having to click 100s of times to make fine leather etc.. 3) Fix salt spawns. EVeryone I know runs into the issue where they do not have enough salt and have to create a new world to find it. 4) Fix bat spawns, or explain how it works. It seems to be a bizarre mechanic where you create a tower to force bats to spawn.
