Previously I said the manner in which you tell the truth is the manner in which you know the TRUTH . Praise you Lord for giving me insight and forgivenss to know your Truth. 18:08 - He is not saving souls, - He has in eternity past already saved souls, the souls of His chosen, Eph 1:3 and following - a beautiful lecture, but with the limitations of man's ability to convey the supremacy of God within the framework of the constraints of our language, TIME and mental capacity explaining it is impossible - hence we are only commanded to be still and praise Him and only through the intermediacy of the Holy Spirit [Rom 8:26] and the advocacy of Jesus Christ [Rom8:34] are we capable of 'knowing' The Tri-Une God! 🙌 THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE FOUNDATION OF EVERYTHINGH, THANK YOU GOD FOR RE-ITERATING THIS TRUTH THROUGH STEVE LAWSON AND UNTOLD NUMBERS OF YOUR SAINTS!!!

There is no decree from the foundation of the earth in Psalm 93 or anywhere else in the Bible. No, not in Ephesians 1 where he chose believers to be Holy and blameless, not the actual believers themselves. Sovereignty means as Psalm 93 says God reigns on His throne, He is King. You falsely add things it doesn’t say that God meticulously controls all things. Jesus said to pray your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, meaning his will isn’t always being done here.

I’m not even sure of the contents of the sermon yet because I’m going to listen to it later, but I still want to respond to your comment. If God is not in control of all things, then there are things outside of His control. This means that God is either not omniscient or not omnipotent or both. This is a scenario that is even worse than the one you are describing.

This is a very warped and twisted view of God's Sovereignty. If God ordained everything that comes to pass, unchangeably, then God is the author of Evil and sin is nothing more than doing the will of God. Glad I'm not a Calvinist. The God I serve is recognizably and demonstrably good.

You talk about "Sinful rebellion against God" as if they had any other choice than to be rebellious? Didn't you just say everything happens according to God's decree. By your own admission then, they are rebelling against God because God wants them to rebel against Him (which could hardly be considered rebellion in my opinion). As William Lane Craig says, "this is a dizzying theology."

God chose not to stop evil in the first place or in every instance. Moreover, God gave man libertarian free will which is a necessary condition for evil. No LFW, no evil. How is God not responsible for evil since He allowed it and gave LFW? By your same reasoning you are agreeing with the atheist that God is evil. LFW gives the impression that sinful choices are just accidents and unintentional. Choices have no explanation. There really is a reason as to why we sin so we couldn't have done otherwise given the circumstances.

For clarity i'll use an analogy: A parent may send their child to school knowing that a bully will bully them (thus allowing it, even though it's against their will); if it's not obvious this part of the analogy represents my view. Your (and all calvinist's) view is more akin to a parent actively desiring their child is bullied and rendering it certain by paying the bully for doing so. One is objectively wrong and downright evil. Since God is objectively and demonstrably not evil, I have no problem accusing your view of God as evil. In my opinion if an atheist makes this claim/argument they're right on the money. Which is why I believe Reformed theologians can have such a difficult time with debating with them. You're strawmannirg LFW. No one who holds to it would say sinful choices are accidents or unintentional. Sin is a deliberate act of the will against God. The cause of the choice is the chooser. It's really that simple man. In your view we all sin simply because God made us. I genuinely scoff at you and all who hold to this bologna.

Choices can only be deliberate or intentional if they are determined by our desires. This is the compatibilist view which affirms determinism. This isn't a strawman. The incompatiblelist holds that LFW is incompatible with determinism because LFW claims that we can choose otherwise regardless of prior situations or desires. This is well known in philosophical academia. I am just stating the implications. I know most people don't believe that LFW entails accidental choices. And NO it's not that simple when you consider the presuppositions and implications
