When a loved one dies, especially a spouse that you have cared for during her illness, leaves a huge void that you want to fill with everything and anything just to dull the pain of your loss. You’ve done well thus far, keep going and remember the words of the psalm ‘goodness and mercy all my life’ . The devil is always on the back of believers, he doesn’t bother those that have no interest in God, they are already his. Life will never be the same without your wife, but it will get easier. You may not feel like socialising right now, but try to get out to church and speak to other Christians who can support you as you struggle with life, and lay your burdens on Jesus each and every day, he will carry you through. x

Hi Brian So sorry for your loss your wife is with the good Shepherd and the good Shepherd is always with you . Find seek look to him each day . They are always in our hearts and so remain . You both will be together for eternity. My Mother passed recently at 93 My brother died twelve years ago . prior to her death months before when she required an operation She reconnected with her faith . Psalm 23 with her her whole life and so was the Shepherd . She sang this hymn to my adult kids and myself then turned around said tonmy kids find the Good Shepherd.My kids had never herd my Mum sing this Psalm or any Psalm .Good Shepherd found me her daughter helped reconnect In his grace became a Godly daughter after years in pagan i wilderness worked as a nurse again his Grace Miss Mum each day beautiful.loving grand mother Mother miss my brother a neice friends passed The point being this Hymn is a living word testimony to his Amazing Grace amazing Shepherd . The Shepherd will save you and sustain you in your grief . I know cause I live it every day And I say thank you for all your grace mercy and blessings His sacrifice on the cross . Life's most painful experience is to lose a new born baby. I speak as a retired Neonatal Nurse and still remember many of the parents we supported as they went through this devastating experience. It turns the whole future upside down as all the dearly held hopes & dreams for that child are cruelly snatched out of your hands. You went through a dark and heart rending time. I'm glad you're son is being kept safe in heaven for you
