The first video about forgiveness (God's pardon) talks about satutory forgiveness. Prayer is vital because we're dependent on getting God's forgiveness after we have sinned. God is holy, and he can't stand sin. That is why Jesus died - so we could receive forgiveness for our sins and be reconciled to God. Sin results in punishment if we haven'r received Jesus as Saviour.
