Arasaka is usually the face of evil corporations in the cyberpunk community, and I'm not saying they don't deserve it, but Militech's shady stuff largely get unnoticed. Their nuke killing 15k people. Trying to tame rogue AIs, really? That's so much more dangerous than Arasaka using Soulkiller. I'm honestly surprised that Johnny isn't shit talking Militech that much, but I guess that's understandable since he worked with Militech with the AHQ bombing and a large part of his grudge with Arasaka is really mostly because of Alt. Rogue was right, it was never about corporate colonialism, it's about his groupie output.

Dunno if I can say Rouge AI's are more dangerous then a peice of software that can instantly kill anyone anywhere almost instantly. In fact if you pick corpo route you can see them use it to take out nearly all of the EU board voting to stop Arasaka from building a catapult. And Arasaka also was trying to get into the black wall. That was the whole back story for Lucy irrc. But honestly I agree Militech being totally nationalized is infinitely more dangerous and worse. Given yaknow they're effectively protected and shielded from consequences under the guise 'they're with the government'

You’re right about how awful militech is, but one could argue that soulkiller is quite possibly the greatest threat to mankind that exists at the time. I always choose to attack Arasaka one way or another to destroy it. Death is the great equalizer. Wealth begets wealth, power begets power. Once someone has a little bit of it, it becomes significantly easier to accrue more. People like Saburo Arasaka are already one of the most powerful people ever, and as long as he reigns Arasaka is essentially invincible. If he achieves immortality, his genius and direction will essentially snowball the power of Arasaka even further until it becomes incomprehensible. Humanity has already colonized the moon in the world of CP2077. In a hundred years, we would have established nations on the moon. In two hundred years, we could have colonies on many other planets, and Saburo would be master of the solar system. His brutality, hatred of western civilization, corruption, and merciless nature would seep into every level of human consciousness until the end of time, as he himself slowly delves into madness and numbness from his endless existence.

CP2077 is full with hints of ocean deep lore. For example the stadium in Dogtown, named after one of the most powerful megacorps in the Cyberpunk universe - EBM. That German Megacorp, that delivers all the most important components for big Militech military vehicles, Arasaka spy technologie or Netwach netrunning gear - and making their Hamburg based Megacorp absolutely essential with this strategy of components tech. It's so cool that you can find such lore behind any corner. With 2.0 so many NPCs are having long conversations, you have so many details in side missions and even small jobs. All the dataterms, dialogue options and so many hidden secrets. I love CP2077 2.0 and Phantom Liberty so, so much. For me the best gaming experience on the market right now. As someone who is creating mods for the game, an absolute dream came true with the Cyberpunk franchise landing in CDPRs hands. And as a Sci-Fi fan you will be satisfied for so many years now...

This may just be me but I felt like everything about PL was great and some of the best missions and writing in cyberpunk. Yet the confrontation with Kurt just felt like it was lacking a bit. Everything leading up to it was top notch, but you pretty much convince him your one of the twin net runners, and he just dies like right after. I wasnt expecting some spectacular massive brawl, instead he suspects V and seperates you and Alex. Either way the dlc was great Id give it like an 8.5/10

It plays like a different game. Most bugs are gone and the cops will actually chase you around GTA-style if you fuck around. At 5 stars, MaxTac goes after you much like you see in the beginning of the game with Jackie when they drop on gang goons. Fighting or parkouring your way out of 5 stars is really fun

Hard disagree. A major part of Night City is its outward glistening appearance while having a rotten core. What you want is to get brign its rotten core to the forefront, which is pretty boring since there's plenty of settings like that already. It'd be just another one of those post-apocalyptic settings. Dogtown already reminds me of Fallout's Boston. Can't have the entire city like that.

Those giant DTR cargo air ships are used due to the fact that there are nanomachines and deep sea mines in the ocean due to one of the corpo wars. There appears to be a way around them though, given Arasaka can still sail its ships like its aircraft supercarriers or cargo vessels so not 100% sure thats the reason.

@@asiblingproduction That's from the Ocean Wars, early days of the 4th Corpo War. Arasaka deployed those AI-controlled self-replicating mines in the first place, but then the AI controlling them went Rogue. In the early 2070s, there was a seawall built around NC by Saka to prevent the possibility of those mines setting up shop there. Saka probably just has their ships armed & defended well enough in realspace & NetSpace that they can get rid of any deterrents, old company-issued sea mines included. That being said, though, there is definitely something else going on there. When ocean trade got cut off because of those mines after the 4th Corpo War, supposedly undersea railways picked up some of the slack, and yet those didn't all get blown to shit. Another major reason is that sea transport, by and large, is dominated & controlled by one of the Nomad Families. Also, while rare, pirates do still exist. Airships, on the other hand, really don't. If a corp needs to ensure that a product reaches a certain destination, an air transport like that is the safest option available to them.

makes you realize Myers is just as bloodthirsty as she seems to be while masquerading herself as the next Abraham Lincoln for starting The Unification Wars. IMHO, if she hadn't become too ambitious for starting it, Pacifica would've been the pinnacle for the Age of Corporations and the peak of pure unadulterated capitalism plus generate more job opportunities and economic competitions.

I can’t help but feel that Militech is as bad as, if not worse than Arasaka We see the way they treat refugees in the camps in the badlands, killing journalists in corpo plaza, randomly slaughtering nomads, and using nuclear weapons in a city Then in phantom liberty we see project Cynosure, which was arguably just as messed up as soul killer and could’ve resulted in the blackwall being destroyed
