I think its pretty obvious that he took Charles' code. Charles attacks him with the hand that has the code symbol on it in his dying moments and later on, when Lelouch is "dying", Nunnally holds Lelouch's right hand, the hand that had their father's code on it, while seeing those visions of Lelouch and Suzaku, where she learns Lelouch's true plans, which, as we've seen, is something only someone with code can do.

CC was a slave who wanted to be loved so her Geass was to make others love her, Charles wanted to rid the world of lie and deceit so he got the power to alter others memories and finally Lelouch wanted to make the world a peacefull place for Nunally so he got the power to command over other people.

No. Charles steal the code from V2. In world of C Lelouch develops tier 2 geass. And basically kills his father. That way he takes over his Father Charles Code in that moment. At the end scene we are presented with C2 and Lelouch both immortal and in love.

@@mistathugisolation4690 Well what if you only lose Geass if the one you have the contract with loses their Code, thus their connection with Cs world. So if Lelouch gets V2s Code, C2 still has hers, so their contract is still valid, and he still has his Geass as well as his father/uncles Code. Also I don't think signs of having Code appear until after first death, the anime avoided confirming or denying this. C2 was mortally wounded, and the nun killed herself immediately, and you don't see Charle's hand until after he shoots himself, and he was still effected by Geass before his first death.

Lelouch is basically anime Tyrant God Emperor Leto, and his Zero Requiem is his Golden Path. Note, this isn't a dig at Code Geass, it's still probably mytop 3 anime of all time. The Timeline is fucked up. 2010 on the Britannian Calendar is 1960 on the Gregorian Calendar (that's right they have giant robots and cell phones in 1960). The Colonies lost the war for independence, Britain lost the Napoleonic Wars. The Royal Family fled to North America. The Britannian Empire is actually the British Empire in North America.

Its never confirmed that those who have their cod stolen die because we are never really showed how they die. The nun easily could have taken her own life since she wanted to die so much and we're never shown how V.V. got all of his injuries. Charles could have done that to him for all the crap he did and become one of the liars he despised.

Lelouch DeNaro Personally, as there is a new season coming out, I'm hoping you're right about those who lose their code not necessarily dying. Don't get me wrong, the protagonists of this anime are great, but this season is going to feel really lackluster if it lacks a compelling villain cast. In my opinion, they can't just create a new villain to oppose Lelouch's new world or the series is just not going to feel half as captivating as the first 2 seasons. Let's face it, half of the reason we cheered so hard for Lelouch, despite some of his questionable motives and serious screw ups, was because his main opponent was a major jerk-face not only to the world, but also to his kids -especially Lelouch and Nunnally. At the very least I'm hoping that Charles makes it back in some way to oppose his son again (this season IS called "the Resurrection" after all. If Lelouch can be resurrected then I see no reason why others can't). Plus, while I doubt that a season 3 was originally planned at the conclusion of season 2 (mostly because of how perfectly the season ended), they actually left themselves a lot of room to possibly extend the season with the same antagonists as before -if they wanted. Example, Charles didn't physically die, he just "disappeared" and we just assume it's a permanent condition despite the fact that we really have little idea wtf just happened. Heck, we don't even "see" V.V. die, he's just majorly wounded and carrying out a conversation with C.C. cause reasons, I guess. If Mao could survive his first ordeal, they could bring him back, and don't even get me started on how easy it would be to write Marianne back into the plot (eye roll - great series but so much Deus ex machina throughout).

So The world of C is responsible for two groups of mutants. One group of mutants are coders that are mutants with the ability of immortality and can turn humans into geass users by giving them geass powers, the other group of mutants are geass users that have supernatural powers based on their personality and can eventually be strong enough to take the coder’s (that gave them their supernatural abilities) abilities away from them and kill them, which would mean losing their geass powers, which doesn’t make any sense, because they shouldn’t lose their powers, just because they took the power of the person that gave them their superpowers and killed them.

The Code Geass movie remakes+Lelouch of the Resurrection were great and I enjoyed every one of them as much as the original series. Even though they were shorter, the recap movies did cut out unnecessary fillers from the TV show and many scenes were redone to make them look more realistic and less awkward than the original. And a sequel makes perfect sense since its not realistic to assume that the peace Lelouch bought with his Zero Requiem plan would last forever. Even if Lelouch stayed dead, his death would have bought only a decade of peace at best before someone started stirring up shit again because that's just human nature. So with his brains, talents, and geass power, Lelouch would be more useful to the world alive than dead.

If you notice the black under Lelouch's eyes, its a sign of 'mortality'. He is mortal. He is not immortal with the Code at that dying moment just like everyone who is losing blood and has black under their eyes in the Code Geass anime. This alone is undeniable proof that Lelouch died and never had a Code. Also people who keep saying Lelouch has Charles' Code, you need to brush up on a few details 1) A Geass User can only receive a Code from a Code Bearer they are contracted with. Charles was able to take C.C.'s Code because at that point he had the Code from V.V., not because he had fully matured Geass. It's all about timing people. 2) Lelouch still kept his fully matured Geass in both his eyes after his final confrontation with his parents. Meaning he never exchanged his Geass for the Code, and having immortality is something Lelouch would never accept or be interested in. Something that is polar opposite of Death Note. Both the halving of life span and immortalizing the lifespan can be seen as a curse. 3) C.C. was looking at the sky, as if to talk to a dead person or their spirit. Many people don't notice this since this is a thing from the 90s or earlier, but there are many scenes depicting people talking to someone in the air, usually in the sky. This means they're referring to someone who either 'exists' or someone who 'used' to exist, but died. In conclusion, there are undeniable evidence that points to Lelouch who never exchanged his Geass for a Code, and never could due to the mechanics of the Contract between Code and Geass, and his mortality in his death. Quite honestly while it says Resurrection of Lelouch, personally I believe the 'resurrection' is not a real one, but a more artificial or superficial one. Lelouch is resurrected, but its more closer to Yami Yugi coming back for 3 seconds to swipe a card and linger for a few more seconds for a smile at the story characters before permanently going away for good. That's pretty much what the new Code Geass will be. Unless they pull off a garbage tactic of bringing him back to mortal life of which he obviously died of.

One mystery to me is how Nunnally broke the Geass set on her by Charles while protecting the Damocles switch. My theory is that Charles didn't die immediately until that moment. And also we saw CC praying probably for Lelouch to be granted immortality somehow.

Remember how Charles "took" V.V.'s code. it was said that he "took" the code, rather than "recieved" the code from V.V. when a geass user has geass in both their eyes make them able to wield the code. Charles can forcefully "take" the code from other. so, why can't lelouch do it? To recieve the code from your contractor remove your geass. just like how charles lost his geass after he "took" V.V.'s code. The code need to be activated by death. why? It is clearly stated that geass DOES NOT WORK on code bearer. But in the sword of akasha, charles was affected by Lelouch's geass. or at least that was how i saw it. i do think that charles did fall in the effect of lelouch geass. i do think it is suspicious how C.C.'s forehead was never visible after charles death. Assume the code will appear on the same place as the original bearer. if lelouch recieved C.C.'s code, then a code symbol should appear on his forehead, or if he took charles code, a symbol should appear on his right palm. but that is not the case. so i assume, the code symbol will appear after the receiver die. because Charles only show his hand after his death. which revealed his code. how the code is being transfered has never been explained in detail in the entire series. it is not stated that the code can only be given to the geass user contracted with the code bearer. so, there is a possibility of lelouch able to take charles code. well this is a random theory made by a guy that haven't slept for 2 entire day. Immortality is a far worse fate than death, especially for someone like Leouch. Since he has such a strong sense of justice its plausible that he would want to punish himself for the bloodshed and chaos he caused (If not for that reason then another).

Second, to conclude that of lelouch's conscience may be in C's world is not supported absolutely. You are assuming that his mother died and only a copy of her conscience is in the girl? While that can be plauselable to say that lelouch is able to exist in C's world upon death due to the same conclusion would leave the contradiction of that lelouch's mother condition seems to be supported by her geass. So the question is, why lelouch is not the same, and if not why, what unquestionable ground/reason can the comparison be made. I think a more solid conclusion would be that lelouch had taken his father's code (how was this accomplished? I don't have evidence of such. However, that also would explain how he was his sister was fed memories upon touching him.). Thus fulfilling C2's wish and loving her onward. While still watching over the world and his sister.
