Is that the Losi Night Crawler? It sure is a crawling beast now! I bet that clicking is just because the worm gear is unloading, doesn't seem to do it when loaded on a climb. Love seeing Grunner the channel dog, he makes me smile!

Sure is I can't believe how good it is from such minor changes I'm shocked they weren't more popular I think they're discontinued now, I was thinking some kind of pressure build up like axle wind up from the downhill and tight corner I hadn't thought of the pressure unloading to cause that noise, he's a character he's a good fit for the channel I remember him on the desk in his first video lol thank you for watching as always mate take care Mike 👊

Boy that thing is loud. How often do you grease the worm gears ? Try some 10mm hex extensions will help on the side hilling. And do pen spring mod or limit straps, rubber bands. The lighter the battery the better.

Haven't greased them since I started building the cabin and moved to the property half the workshop is still in the old location still getting cars out there, I've got 15mm extensions on there got the smallest battery I could get I need to move it as forward as possible, you're right banding the front could help it needs some more weight I can't find any to fit the nightcrawler if you know of a supplier I'd be very interested thank you for watching and commenting very appreciated 👊

@@rcuintheshed6981 ok bro, I have a little secret fix to your front weight problem. Get about 25 or more ( depending how heavy you want it) , 1/2 inch zinc steel washers and a hex bolt and nut to fit the holes. Put that together but don't tighten all the way. Leave a gap on each end so a zip tie will fit there. Then hang this from the tie rod. Once attached, go ahead and snug up the bolt, put a dab of hot glue on the bolt threads. Also put zip ties on each end of the tie rod to hold this contraption centered and it won't move. I've been using this for a while now and it works great. I've been adding heavy steel bolts to some of my other crawlers where possible. Much cheaper than commercial brass weights ha ha! Try it you'll love it. Let me know how it goes.
