Today’s video is super exciting & has been a very long time in the making…. (Oops!)
Whilst visiting Colombia last year, Myself & Mike trekked across the Colombian wilderness for 4 days… in order to discover The Lost City - aka La Ciudad Perdida.
This Trek truly was one of a kind & 10000% worth it.
As you’ll come to find in this travel vlog - It was by no means easy. In fact, it was - to date - the hardest, most challenging thing I have EVER done…. But boy was it worth it!
When you sign up for the trek, there are many different options. We decided to do the 4 day trek, which is the most challenging as you cover the most ground in the shortest space of time. You can however opt for 5/6 day treks in order to have more recovery time & less walking each day. It is completely up to you & your preferences.

& our guide: Miguel /Michael - he was truly amazing & had such great energy! You would be lucky to get him hehe
The whole tour itself was so well organised, the route was clear, there were plenty of breaks with water, juice, fruit & places to buy other snacks and beverages. The lunches & dinners were hearty & wholesome and the beds clean and comfy - what more could you ask for!? We were truly looked after!

We just did this trek February 8-11/24. It was easily the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but as you said - so totally worth it. :)

As backpacking goes, that has to be the way to go. They feed you, provide beds, showers, etc. Nice. I recommend you get a better day hike pack. Something with a hip belt and sternum strap. Considering the terrain, hiking boots with ankle support would have been good to wear. :)

Amazing! 2 Years ago I was in Birma and also did an amazing 3-day trek. I'm planning my trip to Colombia in february - march 22. I'm going to think about this hike because I just have 3 weeks to spend but it is really amazing.😉😎

Wow Birma sounds so cool!! How did you make of the trek? … p.s 4 days out of 3 weeks is worth it I think hehe , especially because the start of the trek is in Santa Marta, which is right next to the Tayrona National Park, something that is highly recommended to visit *I didn’t get a chance to go, but I will when I return*, so you never know, you might be in the area anyway! 💓

To be fair it wasn’t too bad. I did bring bug spray and the beds had nets. Mind you I don’t eat the sweetest things, so tbh they were probably biting the next person haha !!

Great video and congratulations for making it. So, glad Michael was able to get a ride for the last two hours. It must be so difficult to have to walk with knee pain. I agree with you in that I do not support using animals for this. I hope this changes one day, and hopefully sooner than later. I am scared to do this trek next year at my age, since I am not young like you, but I will train for a whole year to be able to do it. Thanks for the video and for anyone reading this, please use bathrooms to pee, and don't do what Michael did (he seems like a lovely person though, so nothing against him).
