Yes, thank you all for the great work you are doing bringing to light the Truth of the Book of Mormon which I know to be true. I am 83 and and former Baptist minister and was lead byt the Holy Spirit to read the Book of Mormon and I found the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His restored Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of which I have been a member for 51 years. I am currently the ward organist.

Well Ron. It's not to late to repent. It comes down to this. either you believe Paul and the other writers of the new testement, or Joseph Smith. You might want to look at old Joe"s biography.Please don't believe that junk about "as long as it was correctly translated" There are literally thousands of ancient manuscripts that have been gone thru and compared to get the best copies you can get. Can you say the same about the BOM. No, even the one he had, Joe had to give back. No copies exist any where of the BOM in "reformed Egptian". Which LDS now seems to think was Demotic. Problem is there is no evidence of any demotic in the Americas. And Old Joe's scribbling looked nothing like demotic. Paul was a man of honor who gave every thing to serve Christ. He never started a fake bank, never swindled people on land deals, never called himself General, chief prophet, revelator, Mayor, etc. Paul only referred to himself as a "servant". You might want to heed Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

You do not know what you say, as I know that Jesus Christ has restored His Church through His Prophet of this Final Dispensation in preparation for His 2nd Coming. I study, ponder, and pray to my Heavenly Father in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ continually. I died once and in the spirit. I totally believe the ZCHM theory, except where are all the Jaradite cement houses and when was the Canadian wilderness ever devoid of trees and timber requiring their construction? I'm still not certain that you are looking in the correct area given the ruins still being discovered it Central America and how they might have a relationship to your work. I can imagine both being true and having their places in the greater picture of history. Knowledge is power in any case. 👍

So where is Joseph Smith's BOM vast uniquely Jewish civilization? Where are it's towns and cities, it's cemeteries it's roads, buildings synagogues, battlefields etc. It is impossible for it to vanish. Joseph Smith said it stretched from coast to coast and it's inhabitants were numerous almost as the sands of the sea'. Only Mormons believe that the BOM is historical, only they are looking for evidence. There are no maps,or could be. My Bible has several accurate maps in it, But even the LDS church has no idea where the BOM lands are, l wonder if they will ever stop looking....., Kind regards to all, especially Mormons.

Why are you looking Zarahemla in North America? All references I have found by early church leaders places Zarahemla in Central or Northern South America: 1) According to Joseph Smith, in the Times and Seasons, Zarahemla was located in Guatemala, Central America: “ZARAHEMLA. Since our 'Extract' was published from Mr Stephens’ ‘Incidents of Travel,’ &c., we have found another important fact relating to the truth of the Book of Mormon. Central America, or Guatimala [sic], is situated north of the Isthmus of Darien and once embraced several hundred miles of territory from north to south, - The city of Zarahemla, burnt at the crucifixion of the Savior, and rebuilt afterward, stood up on this land as will be seen from the following words in the book of Alma: - 'And now it was only the distance of a day and a half's journey for a Nephite, on the line Bountiful, and the land Desolation, from the east to the west sea; and thus the land of Nephi, and the land of Zarahemla was nearly surrounded by water: there being a small neck of land between the land northward and the land southward.’ [See Book of Mormon 3d edition, page 280-81] It is certainly a good thing for the excellency and veracity, of the divine authenticity of the Book of Mormon, that the ruins of Zarahemla have been found where the Nephites left them: and that a large stone with engravings upon it, as Mosiah said; and a ‘large round stone, with the sides sculptured in hieroglyphics,' as Mr, Stephens has published, is also among the left remembrances of the, (to him,) lost and unknown. We are not going to declare positively that the ruins of Quirigua are those of Zarahemla, but when the land and the stones, and the books tell the story so plain, we are of opinion, that it would require more proof than the Jews could bring to prove the disciples stole the body of Jesus from, the tomb, to prove that the ruins of the city in question, are not one of those referred to in the Book of Mormon. It may seem hard for unbelievers in the mighty works of God, to give credit to such a miraculous preservation of the remains, ruins, records and reminiscences of a branch of the house of Israel…It will not be a bad plan to compare Mr. Stephens’ ruined cities with those in the Book of Mormon; light cleaves to light, and facts are supported by facts. The truth injures no one…” (Times And Seasons Vol 3, No 23, p 927, October 1, 1842) According to Book of Mormon footnotes from 1879-1920, Zarahemla was located in the northern part of South America: Omni 1:13 footnote says, “The land of Zarahemla is supposed to have been north of the head waters of the river Magdalena, its northern boundary being a few days’ journey south of the isthmus”. Alma 22:31 footnote says, “Into Bountiful and Zarahemla, South America being called Lehi, and North America, Mulek”. According to Orson Pratt, Zarahemla was in the northern part of South America: “The Nephites and the people of Zarahemla united together and formed a great and powerful nation, occupying the lands south of the Isthmus for many hundreds of miles, and also from the Pacific on the west to the Atlantic on the east, spreading all through the country. The Lamanites about this time also occupied South America, the middle or southern portion of it, and were exceedingly numerous. I will here observe, that from the time the Nephites consolidated themselves with the people of Zarahemla, they had numerous wars with the great nation of the Lamanites, in which many hundreds of thousands perished on both sides.” (Journal of Discourses, vol. 14, p. 325-331, February 11, 1872)

The Book of Mormon is another volume of scripture, that testifies of Jesus Christ and His gospel. That's the message of the Book. Among the writings of that message, are descriptions of where it took place. Moroni and Mormon included all the details necessary and it all fits. Are the plains of the heartland, plains of Nephites? Yes, of course, one only need read the BOM to know that; that being said however, the heartland is not the lands of the main story line of The book of Mormon, aka: Zarahemla, Nephite-central, or Nephite-headquarters if you will. see below. The Jaredite North Country, to which Nephites began migrating to, ever since King Mosiah 1, discovered the Mulekites (aka Zarahemla) and interpreted the Jaredite record, which the Mulekites discovered, mentions, a choice land in the north country; where a new Jerusalem will be built. Thus, for hundreds of years since Mosiah's interpretation of the record, the Nephites and even some Lamanites, started migrating, by the thousands, to this newly heard of north country, both by land and by sea, building ships and sailing north across the sea (which was north of Zarahemla); this north country the traveled to, is NOT the main story line lands of the Book of Mormon, Nephite-central, land of Nephi, Mosiah, Alma, Helaman, Captain Moroni, 3-Nephi etc. Again, people, left from Zarahemla, the main BOM story line land and traveled north across the sea to this north country, some even traveling an "exceedingly great distance", until they came to "large bodies of water" (these large bodies are most likely and quite possibly the Great Lakes) See Helaman 3:3-4 and Alma 63:4-5 Yes, Nephites & Lamanites, migrated to, and filled the north country long before Christ came, indeed they filled the entire continent. That's true! So yes, there would be evidence of Nephites all across the heartland as well, that would date well before 100 BC. And yes, when Joseph mentions walking upon and overlooking the former plains of Nephites, his statement is correct and accurate. Joseph does not contradict himself nor the BOM at all. Read all the text of the BOM, it's all there in plain site! No need for mental gymnastics required. It all fits plain and simply. However, the main story-line land of the Book of Mormon (Nephite-central or Nephite-headquarters, if you will), where Lehi, Nephi, Mosiah, Benjamin, Alma, Helaman, Capt Moroni, 3 Nephi, and all lived, is NOT in the heartland of the United States. The heartland is the north country, where thousands of Nephites migrated to, where the New Jerusalem will be built, and also became plains of the Nephites. We do not yet have the detail history of the generations of the people who migrated to the north country. There is no special explanation needed or mental gymnastics required; it all fits plain and simply. Think this through; if "narrow neck of land, is between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie (or between any of the Great Lakes), and/or if Lake Ontario is the "sea" of where they built ships and sailed north from; traveling an exceedingly great distance, discovering large bodies of water; where does that place this north country of the Jaredites, of where a New Jerusalem will be built; in the upper Quebec peninsula of Canada, up near the arctic?? Didn't the Lord say to the Prophet Joseph, in the Doctrine and Covenants, the New Jerusalem would be build in Missouri? Hey, wait a minute, if the land of Iowa across from Nauvoo, is Zarahemla (as this video claims), and Nephites migrated NORTH to a land where the New Jerusalem will be built, thus leaving Zarahemla going north, how can Missouri be the location of the New Jerusalem, if Missouri is south of Iowa?? The fact is, Zarahemla is actually south of Missouri and even further south of Iowa; thus Iowa can't be Zarahemla, and don't forget there's also a sea between Zarahemla and New Jersualem (Missouri), that Nephites sailed across to get to the north country. Don't let crafty men twist the facts to try and fit their square peg theories, into sound circles of truth. Zarahemla is south of Missouri and south of a sea. Here's a good presentation, on the area of the continent, where the land of Zarahemla was located, per Joseph's editorial in the Times and Seasons 1842. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aafTppKki7FjgMk Here's another fun nugget, there are verses that say, with deductive reasoning (comprehensive reading), that Mormon was raised in the north country until he was 11years old, at which time his father moved the family "into the land southward, even to the land of Zarahemla." (aka: Nephite-Central) see Mormon ch1. He's not talking about, the even further south land of Lamanites. We could go on and on, there is so much. Something else to consider, remember, Mormon, sent Moroni, away from Cumorah with the plates to finish and protect the record. Moroni, wanders for over 14+ years, hiding from here to there, even giving us updates on conditions throughout the continent as he wanders, before finally burying the plates in a hill, unknown and unnamed to him in upstate NY. Moroni doesn't bury the plates where his father buried the other records in Cumorah; he was pretty good on providing details such as that, he would have told us if he knew the name of the place. He simply says he buries them in the ground, not the location. Why didn't he tell us where he buried the plates; because he didn't know the name of the hill or place. Also, it was other latter-day saints, who started referring to the hill where Moroni buried the plates, as Cumorah. It was an endearing and honorary name given to the hill by the saints, it became tradition and was not based on fact; Joseph went along with the honorary name of the hill, no harm, no foul. However, you will note, neither Moroni, nor Joseph, ever referred to the hill as Cumorah, in Joseph Smith's canonized History in the Pearl of Great price, written in 1838, about ten years after the saints had been referring to the hill as Cumorah, and many years after he had translated the Book of Mormon, which had a hill named Cumorah in the book. Why didn't Joseph just refer to the hill in the history as Cumorah??? Seems odd, since that's what everyone else was already calling it, unless he knows it's not the same hill and he knew Moroni never referred to it as Cumorah. The name of the hill in NY, is just an honorary name, such as the mountain south of Utah Lake named by the saints as Mount Nebo, is not the same Mount Nebo Moses stood upon overlooking the "promise land" of the Hebrews. Same thing happens with current city names, having names honoring ancient cities. Utah has a bunch of cities named after Book of Mormon and Bible cities such as Lehi, Manti, Moroni, Bountiful, Nephi, Goshen, Moab, Ephraim, Enoch, Hebron, none of which are the actual ancient cites. If I have an inadvertent error, please forgive. But the story is still true. Peace and Love on your journey of discovery.

@@enochgoodfellow8972 The Book of Mormon takes place in Africa. The Narrow Neck of Land is The Isthmus of Suez. The Land South is Africa. The treeless land to the North is the deserts of Egypt and The Middle East. The fertile land to the South is Ethiopia. The Northward flowing river that empties into the ocean near the Narrow Neck is the Nile River. The buildings of cement are the stone ruins of Egypt. Lehi's journey was into Africa and that's where he stayed. The Tree of Life vision was a road map to Ethiopia. Jeremiah and Isaiah warned not to go to Egypt. The Tree of Life Vision shows Lehi the danger of passing through Egypt on the way to the Garden of Eden. Once you realize The Book of Mormon takes place in Africa you wont NOT be able to see it anymore. Just the other day I noticed Moroni used Jacob's journey to Egypt as an example of the New Jerusalem. There is no other reason for Ether 13:7 other than Moroni telling us Lehi went to Africa and that Moroni is in Africa. The Jaredites started in Africa and their journey North was down the Nile River. They sailed to Israel, the Biblical Holy Land. That's why Moroni tells us they brought animals, fish and honey. Moroni is telling us how the Biblical Holy Land became the Land of Milk and Honey with Fish as the symbol for Christianity. The Jaredites arrive at the Isthmus of Suez twice. Once before the sailing journey and once after the sailing journey. The altar Lehi built to the Lord at the River Camp is still visible today. It's in Egypt. The Greek historian Herodotus tells us Nephi sailed around Africa and discovered Africa was surrounded by water except the Isthmus of Suez to the North. This is exactly what is recorded in Alma 22:32. The Book of Mormon tells a consistent story of Egypt being a "wilderness" used for "hunting". Lehi's journey through the wilderness is in Egypt where Nephi hunts. In Ether, we read about the "wilderness" and "hunting" before and after the sailing journey. First when the Jaredites are traveling North, down the Nile, then again when they travel back South by land. I've only given you a few of the thousands of reasons I've found for Zarahemla being in Africa.
